    Great job. I have the same machine and did exactly what you did 8 years ago.
    Pound for pound it’s the best skid steer out there.

      The best skidsteer is the one you picked up cheap and does what it is supposed to. Brand loyalty is stupidity.

    Good morning Dirt Perfect. Just dropping in to once again express my appreciation for all you do - working in the dirt and mud (our most important natural resource). That being said, hope y'all had a Merry Christmas. Looks like it's back to work today. 😉

      So the previous owners ran all the wiring under the joists because they were going to put a drop ceiling in. I decided I would rather have the ceiling height as is. One day I will rerun all the wiring and install drywall

    What grit of sand paper are you using here?

  • @ianallen2
    @ianallen2 4 роки тому +1

    When you edit a video, make sure you put it together in sequence. You stripped the paint and number off the right side, then next, you jet washed it and the paint and numbers are there.

    Looks like sandblasting would be easier and looks better than grinding.

    • @IntoTheDirtshop
      @IntoTheDirtshop  5 років тому +1

      I actually have a pot sandblasted and the problem is, there would be an extensive amount of disassembly or masking in order to sandblast this whole thing. For that reason (as well as the mess and cost of sandblasting) I decided to just use the DA on it

      @Dezzsoke 4 роки тому +1

      @@IntoTheDirtshop your pressure washer looks beefy enough to drive a sandblaster. No dust just lots of water.

      Dezzsoke just worried about the grit getting into the seals

    Cover the lines with tin foil ( if you're doing this IRL )

      @@IntoTheDirtshop Yeah i seen it later. I've got an 843 basket case I feel like Ill never see it run, advice for first time buyers, research the machine and parts availability for a week or a 2 thousand dollar machine can end up costing you 6 grand. The machine in good working order is probably worth 8,000 on a good day. Not worth 300 hours to restore it

      FrequencyOfThought good tips! Maybe try to buy another scrap machine and swap parts?
