  • A tutorial on how to make my "Sunflower Bliss" granny square. There will be 3 parts to it. 1&2 will be on each granny square. The 3rd part will be on attaching the squares & adding the border.
The finished blanket using the same size crochet hook as I did will measure approximately 50 square inches
    *The yarn I used:
Red Heart Super Savers in "Bright Yellow, Paddy Green & Cafe Latte.

You're welcome & thank you so much! Oh goodness I'm not exactly sure. When I made it I hadn't even thought about doing a tutorial on it. I just started my 2nd one, I'll count this time lol. I know not even 1 ball of brown. The green 2 or 3. The yellow takes a lot more, with the border yellow also I'd say at least 6.

Such a pretty square. I noticed when you first used the yellow yarn, you used two chains to count as the first dc, but later you had chain 3 count for a dc. Maybe because of the pattern on that first yellow round? Also, when you knot to secure your new yarn, is that similar to attaching with a slip knot? Thank you! My husband loves sunflowers. I think he would love this blanket!

@@karenh2890Thank you! I only use 2 CH's for a DC when it's part of a DC together because I think it looks better than 3 ch's. Otherwise I do 3 ch's for a DC. When I attach a new yarn to my work I do two regular knots. When I attach yarn to my hook before I start a project I use a SL knot.

      Thank you!
I didn't keep count but I'd say 1 of the brown, 3 of the green, 5 or 6 of the yellow.
