    i have a question , i have an HMI siemens ktp400 basic with S7 1200 siemens
    i have my timers conected to the HMI both via adress in PT and ET , when i write on the HMI for the PT it works normally but after i turn off HMi then turn it ON it becomes 0 and i have to write it again each time i turn OFF/ON my HMI
    is there a solution for it to stay typed on the HMI even after i turn it OFF/ON ?

    Hi, can you explain what the ET is again?
    I'm also confused as to where the accumulated value is stored.
    thank you

    How can I show in HH:MM:SS format any timer's EN output Value

      After a quick google search, it seems to be harder than you'd expect. I found this link, but it seems too complicated. If you find an answer please come back and respond to your comment.

    This is a very helpful video series. Does anyone now if these timers have a timer done bit like RSLogix? I want to make a timed sequence by using cascading timers, but I can't figure out how to do it in STEP 7. Thanks

    • @PeteVree
      @PeteVree  6 років тому +1

      The DN bit from RS Logix is the same at Timer1.Q in TIA Portal. Put your first timer in rung 0, then in subsequent rung place a Normally Open contact (XIC) and address it Timer1.Q

      Step 7 has not these timers. It only got the Siemens timer. but they are more precise

  • @somethingirreversib

    Doesnt work. Siemens shows his middlefinger with a compile error message: Preceding boolean logic operation missing. No hint what the crap it means, everything shows green on the ladder diagrams.

    • @somethingirreversib
      @somethingirreversib 3 роки тому

      Solved: you need a contact logic, it doesnt work with simply EN signal

    For me it doesn t work... Whyyyyy

    • @PeteVree
      @PeteVree  5 років тому

      Does your program compile without any errors? Did you click Monitoring on/off?

      The problème is when I0.0 is high the tempo do nothing

    • @PeteVree
      @PeteVree  5 років тому +1

      @@waroxx3712 Not sure. If you are simulating, use %m0.0 instead of %I0.0 Otherwise you will have to use Project View in PLCSIM. That is the only way to Force %I0.0 High
