The 1st film was, not so much that it starred Robert Donat, but rather it co-starred Madeleine Carroll, who was born and grew up in Herbert Street, West Bromwich.

A very nice cinema and such a shame it was demolished. Various roads and a supermarket car park now cover the site which is just up the road from me. The clock tower from which the cinema was named still stands however.
