Would love to see a remake of Police Quest, an old Sierra game from the 80's. Sierra made some of the very first story-driven point and click adventure games for PC. Police Quest I, check it out!

As long as you can take an arrow to the knee, it should be authentic enough-ish. In this case it looks more like if Skyrim was Happy Wheels.

I don't know why, after watching the whole video, I feel like I'd better get some gear.
Could you do a little more in depth video on how you did the cutscene in this? Using a video file seems really cool but being a complete novice I didn't necessarily understand it fully.
I notice in your cutscene the thief audio switches form left to right. I would have crushed that down to a mono track.
I might alos have used a dialogogue isolation VST in a PROPER DAW (even Cakewalk would do) to isolate the dialogue and re-create the enviromental sounds seperatly but that's just me being a audio snob (I do video editing and foley work on the side).
Audacity is ... kind of garbage honestly. I'd recommend either Reaper (pretty cheap at like 60$ US and my DAW of choice) or Cakewalk (Free) or the Fairlight module in DaVinci Resolve.

You should do something slightly different then your past 2D remakes. What about no mans sky 2D? You can have procedurally generated art and the initial ship repair->take off->black hole sequence. Something just different enough to get those creative juices flowing

I actually got the 2D game kit so that I could try and do what you do and remake one of my favorite games of all time, Jak 2 Renegade..... but 2D just is not for me LOL. I'll leave it to you Thomas, you are brilliant at everything you're doing. I'll just stick to 3D because it's easier.
Is it really easier? I’ve never been brave enough to dive into 3D. All I’ve ever done is 2D coding because I thought it was easier. I mean doesn’t it take longer making all the models etc?
