I grew up on the river in the early 60s and almost never saw another soul. Probably the first to float from Pembroke to Pearisburg on a car inner tube ignorant of the dangers. Nowadays they use kayaks. Glad to remember how it was before it got overpopulated.
It’s about to get populated by one more! We used to go down there from Tech… I’d see all those crayfish through the crystal clear water…. Think I’ll go back
