They went from a band singing at a concert, To a band singing at a community center, To just having their own show on a TV. Oh how the mighty have fallen….
I really loved this phase of CEC because to me at least it truly felt like you just walked into a vintage Italian restaurant or something and it was a warm and comforting feeling when you walked in. Now CEC is just any other arcade place unfortunately
in ca, we always had the full munchs make believe band, pretty much till the retirement of the animatronics. the one location you mentioned at the end for years still retained allot of the original chuck e cheese decor, i think it was one of the earlier locations.. i always enjoyed going there as a kid. it was really one of the best locations
Yeah, if somebody at CEC Entertainment will one day developed a new animatronic for Chuck E Cheese, this time making the animatronic interactive with the customers. I think that’s why they remove the animatronics away from Chuck E Cheese because people preferred to interact with them like at Universal Studios with Shrek’s friend, Donkey.
Something I'd like to mention is some stores even had showroom walls removed during phase 3/90s remode, my local was one of these locations, I have no idea why but they were already gone even before the 05 remodel Also La Mesa died!?
I wish that show rooms were still a thing in Chuck E. Cheese‘s but all things to guys like David, McKellips and a few others guys in Chuck E. Cheese corporate they just completely gut them
The issue with them getting rid of their animatronics which have a whole separate history in themselves if you interested in Chuck E. Cheese animatronics id recommend you look into Chuck E. Cheese’s old cabaret characters but back to what I was saying the issue with them getting rid of the characters is now they have absolutely nothing to set them apart from other arcade like places
I hate how they constantly try to “debrand” themselves and make the restaurants boring and uninteresting. Imo the only thing holding the entire company together is the name itself, nobody would go otherwise
Good times remembered. The characters, the posters, the dim lighting ( as a pizza parlor or theater should be) the overall experience. CEC was at the top of their game in the 90s. I miss all that. I’m still happy that CEC is still around. I’d be devastated if the whole company went under. That was my entire childhood. However my main complaint, other than the removal of the robots themselves, was that they didn’t bother keeping the place themed. If the animatronics are gone, at least keep the characters themed throughout the store. It just looks too generic and dull, without Chuck and his pals brightening up the place. I know a few stores have the phase 5 artwork, but even that you don’t see too often. At least at my locations.
Showroom T2 at my last job which was a CEC in Nevada. I always took good care of my area out of the nostalgia I felt for the showroom. ❤ it’ll never be what it once was…
The showroom walls for both the 3-stage and studio c were great i mean for 3-Stage you were in a theater where Chuck and friends performed for you when you had a birthday or eating pizza and the fact that the Chuck E animatronic was on its separate stage meant that the tech boys can close the curtain on the stage when the walk-around came out and for Studio C your were attending a live taping of a late night talk show in the restaurant I mean it gave the restaurant showroom that sense of an ambience/vibe the the “ABOMINATION” that’s 2.0 has!
I plan to use this argument for My Avenger Era Rant, this is the main argument for Phase 4! Phase 4 is beloved by many fans, but it really isn’t good, only people like it cuz avenger chuck and animatronics, the stores took away a lot of things that are beloved. That’s why i wanna do the rant, to express why Phase 4 isn’t that good
@chattychucke5535 Literally went to that Parma OH location when i was 2yrs, and i stopped going there when the phase 4 was in place in 2015, and it was a disappointment considering the old props and cool/avenger chuck memorabilia was the coolest stuff i see in my younger years visiting here, especially the alpha bot, which i heard (before the 2.0) that the bot has the only cool chuck outfit (blue shirt and tan shorts) throughout the remaining studio c bots existence, really sad to see this stores excitement to disappointment 😔😞 You should do a History video about this store!!🙂
The old showrooms with the dim lighting and parody posters really felt like a little theater. It was so cozy.
Did you say Theatre pizza time theatre
fr tho😢

While they just have their own show on a TV, some local Chuck E Cheese still keep them singing at a concert during that change.

I really miss the CEC showrooms. I wish they can bring them back.

@TheGeekzNetwork, I also miss the tokens and old tickets. I wish they would keep it in a alternative timeline.

@@ChuckE.CheesesIllinois correct many stores removed them seemingly for no reason. And yeah La Mesa closed a few weeks ago
Its all this new generation’s fault, They could care less about these precious animatronics. This is not the CEC I remeber. 😢
I wish that show rooms were still a thing in Chuck E. Cheese‘s but all things to guys like David, McKellips and a few others guys in Chuck E. Cheese corporate they just completely gut them
I really miss the show room, the dim lighting and portraits made it look like it was an actual auditory
Wow, and now it’s connected within the facility today after the Phase 4 remodel.
4:50 so then Brownsville Tx (My local) never had showroom walls as it opened in 2000 with this stage

I miss the dim lighting! Something about the vibe just felt better with the dim lights.

Random video request but could you cover the menu changes for Chuck E Cheese
That could be a future topic
I love that idea too

As neat as the dim lighting was, it must have been easy to trip over stuff
Especially the waiters.

Literally just got back from the Parma, OH location for my 2 9yr old cousins, and it STILL have the show room walls even after the 2.0 remodel
Yep! A few locations surprisingly kept them even though it technically isn’t a designated showroom anymore you can tell what it once was

So many Memories
Maybe we should just boycott Chuck E Cheese so they can bring back The Animatronics and stages
6:15 ohhh!! MY LOCAL CEC 😎

@@JalenCEC this means so much. I grew up on your Castleton and Greenwood videos

I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!
Apparently, it's because parents couldn't get an eye on their kids or whatever
Short answer: too expensive to maintain and maintenance fee's

7:25 and that shows that the company is delusional
