Hey, where abouts are you from, I just bought both of those cars too. I wanted to do just what your doing with them, would you be able to upgrade mine once you get yours dialed in???
@felipezafani I'm just getting into this hobby and have never done any type of rc modifications. Also did you find out how to get the wheels of, I took the cap off mine and they look pressed on, I would also like to change to tires to something with more grip
You can also try wd 40, it should work if you marinate the tires overnight in a plastic bag if you want it fully absorbed in the tires will get very soft, or just a light coating for about an hour works as well, I would test how it affects the rubber with a ligh coat first since this is toy grade. Just look up wd 40 on rc tires and you'll see how well it works on harder rubber rc tires. You can also try rc tires sauce or tire compound which is what rc drag racers use for better grip, there are some vids on how to make that as well, though thats sold online too.
@@kimaniheadley5569 I would do a light coating of wd 40 first and see how it affects the tire while checking it every now and then. If it still feels firm then put it in a bag with wd 40 and keep checking them every now and then. Once your happy with the results give it a cleaning so the excess wd 40 wont keep making it softer.
@@felipezafani Certainly, if you're skeptical there are a few videos covering wd 40 on rc tires on youtube so look it up if you would like. Unfortunately I cant link any because youtube will delete my comment, but it really does make rubber softer, just start with a light coat and see how it affects that rubber, and if it doesnt feel soft enough then leave it in a plastic bag with wd 40 and check on the tire every now and then. It could be for a few hours or overnight in a plastic bag, if it's still too firm just take your time with it because you dont want tires that are too soft like a rock crawler softness, and as I stated before once you're good with the feel of the tire clean the excess off so it wont soften it too much. Tire sauce might be good to try too for extra grip.
The rear wheels have little caps covering the screws. Just take some pliers and gently pull them off
Thanks. That was the first thing I looked for when I got mine.
Thank you I could not remove it, not sure why but I will try again!!!
Seeing this on my feed is more Proof that Google is listening to conversations and reading my WhatsApp message
For sure it does !!! Happens to me all the time good that they are recommending my videos lol say safe and have fun!
I'm getting one soon and i plan on upgrading it too, great video!
Thanks! It's a great car and will be even better with a brushless setup.

@felipezafani I'm in ontario canada
I have the sf23 versions running 4s 2850 4800kv gotta find somewhere to run it
Tbh i'd love to build one but the main problem is getting spare tyre's
@Retrograde99 it's not too hard the rear wheels are screwed in, I've seen a guy do a custom 12mm hex hubs conversion KaniZ RC
That sounds like a lot of fun. Be careful! What about the shaft diameter? Did you find a 2850 motor with 2.3mm shaft diameter?
@felipezafani no sorry its a 3.175 running mod 0.6 13 tooth pinion
rub Listerine on the tires to soften them

@chadjustchad4129 it works, but it makes the rubber expand still might try it tho
