Standing in solidarity with your fellow players against racial abuse in football is a different thing. It’s still political and an argument can be made that taking the knee is unnecessary in football and I also disagree with players getting stick for not doing it. As well as the fact that there has been a long standing debate as to whether or not redskin is an offensive term since before it was called being “woke”.
