I watched this last year after my grandson died aged 10. As a grandfather I was devastated. This song gave me so much comfort. I love Mr Harris passion and he sings from his heart. This year I recorded this song with my son and grandaughter. We changed the lyrics from " watching me" to "watching thee ". Mr Harris is without doubt one of the best singers I have ever heard and I hope one day to meet him to thank him personally for helping me heal my broken heart

Every time I see a sparrow, I thank and praise the Lord. Unbelievably one day at 20 sparrows came to my balcony railing and oh what joy I felt. I'm sure it was a God and pray it was because I was on the right path.
When you grow up in a family that honors God and His Word,.........songs like these get soaked into your skin and they become the soothing background music that comes out when you can't help but burst forth with joy and happiness. I honestly can say I can't think of anyone better, who will bring the house down with this song than Mr. Harris.

I grew up listening to Larnelle, the Gaithers and so many others, and I still listen to them today.
Lately, I can't seem to feel happy, but I sing in the car or shower, I sing along with the radio or Pandora. Every now and then, something like this pops up. Yesterday it was I'll Fly Away by Alan Jackson, today it's Larnelle Harris, tomorrow who knows. Just now that God is real, He loves you, and wants desperately for you to turn to him. I joined the VFD not knowing what it meant, I was trained to run into a burning building to save lives, but we prayed daily, many times a day. We studied the Word together, and we knew that we were His soldiers working to keep all we could safe. God is there, God is real, and God loves you and wants you to just turn around and embrace Him.

A woman in our small church, growing up, had a beautiful voice and would often sing it!!!! I learned it when I was very young---she lived across the street from us!!!! I first heard of Mr. Harris over 3 decades ago. He has a voice truly blessed by God and uses it for its intended purpose. What an instrument, and he's a humble man.

I’m unchurched this morning because my church has COVID and there is no present access to Facebook anywhere. But this song really does minister you me.
