@@nathanjs4207That song was written about her child She actually said that it was inspired by her fear of losing her child. In an interview she specifically says that it's inspired by the nightmares that she had about waking up in pools her own blood
Which were brought on by The traumatic experiences of her previous pregnancy which all ended in miscarriages one where she almost bleed to death because of hemorrhaging.
The full lyric is "well I Won't die for love but ever since I met you you could have my heart and I would break it for you" thats about her child And how she would do anything for her child it also carries the anger of people telling her that having their baby now will be too early in her career despite the fact she was already pregnant
"....The implications behind such a statement made me extremely angry..." Was literally part of the conversation about this specific song.
It's why the closing out verse is layered lyrics on top of each other "Please don't leave" "I'm running out of time" "There's plenty of things I regret"
She just knew she wouldn't be holding her child in her arms.
Some parts of the lyrics talk about her career, the Responsibility and obligation she feels to us fans, but also how she feels trapped in that "My shoulders are heavy already" "I'll leave if you let me"
So yeah that song is about love and unrivaled devotion
Sorry if the explanation sounds like I'm just having a fan girl rant but I feel like sometimes people don't pay enough attention tolyrics and miss the meaning of songs. People say that music and the way you connect to it is subjective to the person listening (which can Often be true) but artist write their stuff for a reason
