Proof of why SVIIB is, in my opinion, a top 5 synth pop band of all time
Heard this song on a British tv show called Waterloo Road today. First time I have heard of SVIIB. Ive since ordered their 4 albums. This song is superb.
Tangerine Dream / Cocteau Twins vibe going on here. Pure brilliance
There have been plenty of great tracks from this band, this is my favorite off the album, it is hooky and never gets old.
Vocal harmonies on the verse are absolutely exquisite; the dreamy arrangement and production is icing on the cake. A true classic from the moment it was released.
Absolutely amazing. Sounds so fresh. 💚💚💚💚
So so good :D Calls back the good side of the 80's. :D
This song is absolutely phenomenal! I was in a local record store last weekend and they put on Ghostory, and "The Night" just blew me away. I wanted to listen to everything I could find of theirs. BEAUTIFUL music!!!
Qué preciosa canción.

💘💓💗
Sounds like Cocteau Twins meet TRON (the first) :)
buena sonsg
@MewoAndTheCrow Agreed. Depeche Mode et al.
@needleonthevinyl When a salesman in american eagle was attempting to make a sale, Dust devils was playing, Which I blindly put on my MP3 because it was on the Interpol Tour EP. I felt the sudden urge to buy skinny jeans then.....
@MewoAndTheCrow what sides that?
mmmmmmm
Sounds like the Cocteau Twins gone Shannon-sound.
Moroderesque
Just hearing this version for the first time. It's nice, but not a patch on the Active Child remix, seriously. It's on youtube so check it out for yourselves. It ups the angelic quality of the track to the power of 10. It's sonic rapture, utterly glorious. By the way, in exchange they did a remix of Active Child's I'm in the Church at Night, which is also superb. If only they'd made more music together.
I liked the Active Child remix, but I don't think it captures the essence of SVIIB. The remix makes you stop and listen to the beauty of its vocals, that makes you think about yourself and the music as separate, but SVIIB is a river, that pulls you along on its journey, makes you part of a greater flow.
@@yosefcoopersmith9583 I don't know whether it captures 'the essence of SVIIB' or not and, to be honest, I don't care. All I know is it's a fantastic piece of music. I can understand though that if you are a fan of the band first and foremost, then it will sound 'different' and not necessarily be what you want to hear. It is, after all, a remix. Horses for courses and all that :)
This is a lost Bangles album, I swear.
sounds like sky cries mary
