Not a fan of painted furniture, but I have to admit that is one gorgeous piece! Thanks for detailing the costs and labor.
Thank you, appreciate the kind feedback :)
I liked the drama of the black W/ beautiful leaded glass doors. 😮
Beautiful piece and beautiful video. You’re good!

Beautiful ❤
Thank you :)
Great job!
I love it! Very modern and unique. And thanks for the absence of irritating music and incessant babbling about nothing which, unfortunately, is the norm for most flipper channels.
Thank you. I try to have good balance of music, talking and tools at work. It’s a learning curve as to what people do and don’t want. Thank you for tuning in 😎
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
Looks great!
Thanks!
Nice job bro, you get better with every piece you do!
Thank you Peter!
Nice work mate.
Thank you :)
Loved everything except the handles clashed. I would have kept to one style. Smooth and sleek....Apart from that very impressed.
You did a fantastic job and it looks gorgeous but I think you undercharged by at least $100NZ. But at least that's a new toy for the QC. Cute jubilation jig.
Great piece, and your videography is top drawer 😝. But if I can weigh in with a little beginner advice of my own, here’s what I’d add. Do yourself a favor and seek out solid wood pieces until you get the hang of the sander. And if you want to stain and aren’t too sure of the characteristics of the wood, start with a wood conditioner.
Always enjoy your videos!
Woohoo -first viewer. Love your work -love we can get the same products, just being in North island -love your editing/video techniques. Stay warm!!
Hey, quit with the competition. I called dibs on the north island 😂
Thank you, welcome to my channel! I appreciate to stopping by! I feel you with the products, I do wish there were a few more kiwis on youtube, hint hint ;)
😂😂😂
@@flipitnation at 56, I’d need to watch you tube to know how to video and put up on UA-cam!! 😊
Love your work! Have you tried Rub n Buff for the metal parts? I used to spray but that often chips where the RnB applies easily too
Thank you :) No I haven't but I will look it up and give it a go, cheers!
❤❤❤❤❤
It's beautiful - I would buy it in an instant 🙂
Oh thank you, very nice of you to say!
I guess I wouldn't have died a little inside from painting it if it weren't for the beautiful, original leaded glass doors. Oh, it would have been so nice to restore this one. It does look pretty though. The black and wood compliment each other.
Yes, I totally appreciate your opinion and in hindsight a restoration would have been the better option. I almost didn't post this video as something about it was irritating me. Sometimes the most time consuming videos are the least satisfying! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment :)
Interesting piece !!! Please use a rubber mallet, not a metal head hammer, to take things apart. The hammer can inadvertently leave cracks or indents in the wood. I love the finished wood/paint combo. Elegant once again !
I like the contrast. I'm not sure if it was the color from the video but it looked a little orange to me . But I guess it did not affect the quick sale. I don't know the market in New Zealand , could you have gotten more?
Love the look. Just a question from someone trying to learn the trade - what would the numbers have looked like if you had ebonized it instead of painted it? Vastly more time?
WOW!! Another amazing job...thank you for sharing.
Question....how do you know or find out what color or type furniture is "hot" in your area? Ty
Thank you, glad you like it! In response to your question.... trial, and error and a bit of marketplace stalking. I save a lot of other peoples upcycled/refinished furniture listings on facebook marketplace and see what sells quickly and a rough price. When I list a piece of furniture on marketplace I also take note of how many people message, sometimes I get one or two, and other times up to fifty - I kid you not! I also learn from listing my own pieces at $1 reserve on Trademe (an auction site like eBay) what pieces go for the most money and how many bidders/watchers they get. Sometimes it is surprising what is more popular than others. But in a nutshell, learning as I go!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you :)
What kind of black paint could I use on wood ? Any ‘type’ I need to look for? I’m from India
🌟👍♥️
Thank you 🙏
You got robbed! That would have sold for around $1500 here maybe more. Very Art Deco. The doors alone were worth $$$$
Where are you based? I’ll pack my bags 🤣🤣
@@flipitnationI can tell you that here in Australia fb marketplace has gone nuts, people here are asking hundreds of dollars for things in the ‘before’ state of your piece! I think op was right about your finished product being worth $1500 but I have no idea where you would have to advertise it to attract the discerning buyer? So alas at the end of the day a piece is only worth what the highest bidder will pay 😢
Why did you feel the need to paint it and chanve the handles? Wasn't it better restore it and preserve it's integrity? Like now it's not meat nor fish
Good observation, it’s definitely plant based - wood to be accurate. The person who bought it loved it. I guess keeping things fresh works for me sometimes 🤷🏻♂️
$15 dollars for a pair of hinges, that disgusting they're like £3 in england
Too modern for my taste!
Please stop with the silly camera and editing tricks
My videos aren’t for you. Cheers
A sook doesn't like how the video is fimed. You're probably the life of the party.
