Awesome stuff mate! We get it pretty lucky up here in South East Queensland ;) unfortunately right now (for me) is the tougher time of year.. you’ll still get plenty of bream, flathead, jew etc. but if you ever come back up in the spring/summer you’ll have your best chance at jacks and even the elusive barramundi!

i often fish the Nerang river mainly for Flatheads & Bull Shark
Got to watch them arrow squid. They are aggressive little buggers. I think thay flatty is a bar tailed flathead... should have connected with @mylurebox who could have shown you a few places.

Like anything its all about knowing the times, areas, techniques etc however it was a challenge. At the same time Winter in QLD is the hardest time to fish it so I guess it was a pretty good session especially for not knowing anything about the place
I'm going there in a week's time, this video make me more excited!!

Tiger squid that one
So close.. Everything except the tiger part. 🤦♂
Turns out to be a Luminous bay squid or Loligo squid. I wish I hooked up to a tiger squid. That would be cool!
What line class was the atomic arrowz and what model? Can it regularly handle flatties & bream easily?
Think its 2-6lb. Perfect for bream and flatties.
