Treat this bar with respect..that was a very very quiet day swell wise..it's ok to cross but good idea to pull up end of breakwall and check out the swell..dead low tide not alot of water under you also
Defintely agree with your comment. It changes around so much. We are around it most days, so the local knowledge helps with the correct path on the day.
@@nightcrawlerfishing Thank you for your reply..Hope you catch some mackies today.. I haven't crossed the currumbin bar and haven't caught a macky yet.. I've bought a Ebook and hopefully will help me to catch some macky.. thanks again..
How do you rate the currumbin bar compared to the Gold Coast seaway? Thinking of crossing the bar at currumbin or burleigh but a but anxious as I will be my first time
Seaway is an easier crossing if you go out under 1.5m of swell and under 15 knots of wind with the incoming tide. Currumbin is pretty good. You just need to time your run. Seaway is easier for starting out as there is no breaking waves!

Thanks for your currumbin bar video.. what is the maximum swell you would cross the bar...
And what weather forecast app. do u use...?
Thanks..
No worries. Thanks for watching! I do 3 to 4 ft if it's a good tide. I use Surfline for the waves and Seabreeze and Willy Weather for everything else.

Legend. Thanks for the support! They will be on as soon as the swell drops! The Mackerel pages run through lures, rigs, baits and everything else.
