Bello, veramente emozionante! 💔 Bravissima Denia Mazzola con i suoi affondi contraltici. Ho apprezzato molto anche D'Arcangelo, ancora giovanissimo e già molto promettente , con il suo bel timbro profondo. Musica veramente maestosa e incantevole. 💐👏👏👏

this was on March 1993 that I did my debut in Armenian National Opera as conductor with Poliuto... wow I can really not belive that it was longtime ago

Kallas handed over the clavier of this opera to the great Armenian singer Gohar Gasparyan after her Paris recital! Gasparyan-Tigran Levonyan's husband staged an opera at the Yerevan National Opera. Yerevanians showed opera at the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow and in Spain
This was the first performance of the new critical edition. It was one of Verdi's favorite operas which is obvious from all that he ripped off from it for Forza and Aida.

Une belle représentation .Les chanteurs sont d'un bon niveau .Mais on ne saurait oublier les interprétations de Callas et de Gencer ( avec un contre Ré fabuleux dans le final de l'acte deux ).

7callas, che c'entra la Callas...scordiamocela. Ma qua' la Denia e' brava.
E' un'opera veloce,scorrevole ma non moderna,non scritta per noi.Possiamo accantonarla volentieri.

Simone Sandri il Poliuto del 60 con Corelli, Callas e Bastianini è stata semplicemente la più grande apertura della Scala nel dopoguerra
Ho letto bene? Secondo questa logica dovremmo accantonare tutto il repertorio ottocentesco, per non parlare del precedente. Che criterio è?!
Al contrario, Poliuto è un'opera dall'alto profilo, che merita rappresentazioni ben più frequenti (assieme ad altre partiture donizettinane: Pia de' Tolomei, Fausta, Marin Faliero, Gemma di Vergy e Ugo conte di Parigi, per nominarne solo alcune).
Questa edizione è particolarmente apprezzabile perché reintegra le pagine tagliate (del tutto inopinatamente) dalle altre.
Gent.mo Simone, la lirica non deve piacerci per forza. Ci sono tanti altri generi musicali e hobby di altro tipo. 😊
