Gotta respect a guy who’ll show up to a DnD game in a three piece suit
Not sure the man in question owns any other clothing but 3 piece suits. if he does i've never seen him wear it. only suits. i think he likes showing everyone else up. LOL
He's making Critical Role look like University Challenge (British game show reference) :P
I am completely doing this next Thursday night when we have our game night.
There's two things he knows... How to look good in a three piece suit... AND THAT'S IT
You could say he is ready for the business
"I'm a boss fight pig skin."
-Laura Bailey, the most inspiring thing I've heard all day.
I love how much Laura is clearly enjoying playing the stupid one of the party (and how much Travis' face is alternating between delight and "WHO ARE YOU")
As much as I love Grog's stupidity, he frequently plays it up for humor over believably. Laura wielded that sword effortlessly. "I've got a bell. DING DING!"
No one is a bigger fan of Laura than Travis. One of my absolute favorite qualities of this power couple!
*Teleports behind you*
"I speak for Sauron, kid."
Gimblejam lmao
*bites out your throat*
psssh......nothin personnel.....
Nani!?
I would watch a full campaign with the forcs
Too bad the forcs turned into the tworcs, then.
Agreed
Conquest of Mordor Campaign!
I just caught up in the main campaign (watched my first stream last night) and now I’m just watching all the Talks and One-Shots, so I’m with you on this
All of them trying to speak as one and then all rolling terrible intimidation was priceless. xD
Yeeeeeees that was hilarious. I was laughing as much as the orc they tried to intimidate.
Arby may have fallen after soaking damage like a sponge, but she stayed true to her title. She never broke. Even when they tried to dominate her. Kudos.
... Unbreakable.
Aww. Now I like the character even more. So good, in all the ways. Best orc.
@@Cyrribrae Olog-hai you mean.
Arby was my favorite. Fought to the end. Died with honor. And played simple-mindedness with elegance.
arby was the fucking best. i fucking love her.
Arby was _so_ badass in this! Stood her ground the whole way to 1v1 a powerful wraith amongst a horde of Uruk, and nearly gave him a run for his money! I can just imagine her last stand, angrily smashing her enemy with the body of a betrayer, a force to be reckoned with until the very end. A fighter till the end, never faltering once, even in the face of supernatural domination.
It seems Arbarùk the Unbreakable was just that, in the end. Unbreakable.
Hell yeah!
Hail the Unbreakable!
Holy crap, how can Darin De Paul go from a lovable older gentleman to a hellish orc and back without skipping a beat. It's just amazing. The difference always shocks me when he uses his normal voice.
Agreed.
He's got crazy range. I'm more shocked at the fact that he's relatively new to voice acting, at least compared to the rest of the cast. Talk about being a hidden gem lol.
Mozu! You were supposed to bring balance to the Forcs not leave them in brightness!!
I spat my drink
🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Rip it out quietly!” Laura you genius
And she yells it as loud as possible. Serious genius! Love her!
Haha.. "The moment you betray us, we will kill you, and... that's it." "Okay... good to know." That was hilarious.
Travis is so good as an intelligent character. Shows off his smarts for once
He's so good as an unintelligent character too which shows off his smarts as well! It takes a lot of intelligence to play as dumb as he does with Grog.
But he is the BEST lovable oaf.
I always noticed that really intelligent people like to play barbarians, I'm glad Travis gets a chance to play smart for a while.
If you haven't, watch the Screw Job one shot. Travis played a mastermind Rogue with good intelligence.
This is exactly what I thought of. That was a very sharp character.
Laura screaming MANSWINE made me laugh so hard.
RIP Arby, not even the Gravewalker could break you!
These characters need to be a DLC or something
Risky the biscuitteer it would make a great campaign
If gollum made it into the first The Forks can be in the second.
"I just need to be a little intelligent bastard." - Travis Willingham. YES TRAVIS! Do it!
Arby the Unbreakable is gonna be back as a Nemesis after dying like that.
Orc physiology is not my specialty -
The orc doctor
Adam F have a reply
He’s an Olog-hai you daft shit
He's still a doctor for orcs...
@@austinstratton6602 Orc doctor not a doctor orc, you are the real daft shit as you put it.
Perhaps he specializes in caring for their war beasts?
"you're not proficient in bodies"... such a good line!
What if you had the tavern brawler feet?
They are considered two-handed weapons, though...
@@Merlin1908 You're not wrong...
Kudos to everyone for this one-shot. But the MVP, IMO, is Laura Bailey! Her portrayal of the dimwitted, loyal, impulsive olog-hai was charming and a masterpiece! Because this seemed to be a much more lighhearted game and EVERYONE playing was hilarious, it was nice to see Matt having such a good time! I'll never get tired of hearing Sam's lowered voice (be still my heart) or Travis's higher voices, and it was great to see how well Darin fight in with the gang!
I REALLY want Travis and Laura to sort of "swap Intelligence" for the new campaign with their characters.
Maybe Travis will play an old frail grey bearded wizard with incredibly high intelligence and a strength of six.
This aged pretty well lmao. Ford's pretty damn tactical while Jester has 1 braincell split between her, sprinkle, and nugget
Love Travis constantly trying to shoot Sam but Sam keeps catching all the arrows. Wish Sam would roll this well in the main game
WHy are you untying his hands? So he can walk! Not with his hands....Laura's character: I don't understand. That right there had me laughing loud by myself. I love these guys so much and the RP they make during the game :D
Now THIS is how you market a game!!!
There are two things you need to know: Laura screaming “Manfilth!” and charging Talion on her own is the absolute best thing in this entire episode... and that’s it.
True to the game!~ xD

boost
Bumpity bump
Lmfao! "Is he dead? " *after stirring an orcs brain around like butter* "Yes he is very dead". Gold.
What is the time stamp for that?
What a cool one shot.
Travis is friggen hilarious. IDC what you say.
Who has actually said otherwise?
Water is wet. IDC what you say.
Water is not always wet, this is always funny. (Drop the temperature enough and its now a solid :P)
put it's still wet right? I mean, you touch an ice cube and the heat from your fingers are hot enough to make it wet again right?
water is not wet at all. the act of being wet is something else getting water on it.
It's so weird seeing Travis use a goblin arcane trickster rogue against Sam who later plays that exact same race and class combination.
This is cannon for Shadow of War.
I wish... honestly that'll make the game 5 times better... and it's already pretty fucking dope!
The game is actually fucking terrible considering the amount of Pay-To-Win bullshit WB put into the game, not to even mention how they are profiting off of a dead producer and failing the tell the public that they are scumbags
Yabbamann you couldn't be more mistaken, I'm loving the game and I haven't even touched the microtransactions, also WB was never going to profit off of the DLC honoring their friend, and having hearing the stupid outcry of people like you they made the DLC free and donated a lump sum to the family.
I love how these plebs who haven't even played the game try to claim pay-to-win. It's not pay-to-win at all and you would know this if you actually played the game, mate.
Are cannons canon?
"Because its a two headed owl....no." Matt's face at that statement.
I really hope Laura's character is a taste of what she's planning for the next campaign. I would happily watch Laura be stupid for the next three years.
Fenristhegreat I would happily watch laura be stupid and travis be smart and dissaproving
You know. We kinda got that. Jester is smart.. But also likes making really stupid decisions. It's delightful
@@Cyrribrae and Fjord is polar opposite to Grog...
"I would happily watch Laura" full stop. I mean, if someone can be utterly adorable as a hulking cyberdemon and a giant war-troll, it's probably safe to say there's nothing she can do that won't be entrancing.
Laura is so adorable as an brute, lol! thanks for sharing with us this amazing show G&S.
Awesome video guys. Darin continues to be charming even as an orc. Laura actually plays a great barbarian. Travis is marvelous as a rogue. Sam is just amazingly entertaining no matter what he does. Thanks for this excellent one-shot.
This is the cutest Travis and Laura interaction I've seen. Throughout most of the VM saga, their characters are sort of friends without a lot of interaction. Plus, being in a long term relationship (irl) just gets monotonous at times. But here, Travis is riding Laura's shoulder, Laura keeps screwing up Travis' plans, they high five and spontaneously synchronize on high rolls and cool RP moments. It's gotta be fun to be married to one of your best friends.
EDIT:
-So, we eifer go in da front dohr...
-Oor, da back dohr.
Yup. Nope. I'm done. Sides high-fiving Neptune.
EDIT 2:
...GLOB >:P
I'm not saying I want to see this weekly
But I'd kill to see this weekly
Please, somebody give me a picture of that ending with Arby hitting Talion. PLEASE. THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!
1:21:41 Eden catching and throwing back the bolts that Skak shot at him in Skak's attempt to show his loyalty to the Bright Lord was cool and hilarious! (Apparently, some off-camera felt the same. :D)
Gorefest! And also, The Forcs need to be dlc for the game.
Ulf Hazelcreek I can't agree anymore that is an awesome idea
I wasn't sure if I'd buy the game, but if this becomes DLC for it I am absolutely going to buy it.
oh my god could you imagine
I hope they're the four legendary orcs you get when you pre-order
This! A thousand times this!
Travis trying to kill Sam again. :)
what does travis have against sam?! omg xD
Everyone got to be a badass in their own way, especially Arby, bit honestly the MVP of the campaign was Skak.
His dice rolls happened to be FIRE throughout the campaign. High rolls all around combined with smart plays made him a hell of a force to be reckoned with, and you could even see it in late game as Matt started to target him before he got dominated.
oh yes, very badass
/spends the end of the episode trying and failing miserably to shoot eden and getting hit in the face by his own arrows
lmao that was freaking hilarious, highlight of the episode for me lol apart from arby the unbreakable who was just glorious from start to finish. like, travis had to headcanon Skak shooting Eden in his sleep after the campaign ended, how pathetic is that? fucking lmao travis
@@xxliew Travis is a smart player and a good tactician. His endgame was stated from the beginning and he took the steps for it, also ending the adventure on a fun note. Don't know where your animosity against him is coming from, but try to cool down Joe
@@xxliew here you are again. Throwing shade.
dumb troll laura is so adorable, i love her so much
I love Laura as a dumb fighter! Maybe her next character will be Grog's daughter.
Or the goliath drummer from the bar
I dont think they can or would play a previously met npc.
Please graceful Sarenrae by all that is holy, please make this one real!
Then she's going to say
I'm gonna Hunters...... uh, nothing.
This is pure gold. Whenever I need a good laugh, I'm going to go back to this and the Goblin one-shot.
Part 2: The Forks Awaken
Really Hoping for a Cameo in the next game with "The Forks!"
I'm hoping to find Mozu the Chosen as a random Uruk in the game. If I can find him I will do two things: Make him my Overlord and that's it.
The new campaign crossed planes into Mordor, apparently.
I believe its "The Forcs"
Considering the game's development has been finished for months, I don't think there will be additions made now.
Here's hoping for "The Forks" DLC or update xD
23:22 when Matt says "just kill me" you can hear the crew laughing
I was drawing while listening to this, so I wasn't looking at the screen most of the time; I'm so used to hearing Travis speak as Grog that I kept thinking that Darin's character was Travis. Plus, it's so weird to hear him speaking in a goblin's reedy little voice. Hilarious, though.
The Unbreakable will not be forgotten, she will be restored by the dark load and find you again grave walker.
There are two things that I know. First, I love this campaign. And that's it
When Arby said “RIP IT OUT QUIETLY” I died 😂😂😂
i am soo excited about Travis's new character on the next campain
i am hoping for an arcane trickster
Ali Eren Nah he's been wanting to be a werewolf. He might be a Blood Hunter Order of the Lycan.
about*...please
done :D
This needs to be animated or filmed SO BADLY! I could see the camera angles in my head. So epic. I can't like it enough!
I know a lot of people are hating on the game because of loot boxes, but I'm still going to support my favorite voice actors by buying it. Just don't buy the loot boxes if you hate that. These guys still need jobs!
Even though they know the complete story I love how they make the characters ignorant of what's going on great acting great performance I wish I can see them more and Live acting
You can! 3 of the 4 of the players, plus the DM (Matt), are the main players on Critical Role. Check out the Geek and Sundry youtube channel for their show. Over, like, 400 hours of them live roleplaying in D&D.
Laura - amazingly unbreakable. Arby, RIP. As for Travis .. delightful to see you could use that intelligence within. This was sooo well done.. should be its own series, with a rebirth of Arby, and a cure for the 'Chosen' traitor.
He’s not a two handed weapon. “ are you sure about that. He has two hands” lol
God bless voice actors
These guys are amazing I want more of them and please people tell me where I can hear more of these people outside of video games
watch the critical role series
Yeah I've 25677 minutes of critical role, though they are just about to start a new campaign so it's a great time to get into CR. It is live on twitch 7pm est thursdays
Laura Bailey: I thought we were going to make him pretty..... OMG I cracked up so hard.
Just finished Sam's One Shot and now i've been blessed by this!
I love Laura's take on a Grog-like fighter
That was delightful. Sponsors: more of this, please - please continue paying these awesome people to do things like this. So great.
I would love to see this be a semi-regular thing. The Forks need to return!!!
Fingers crossed Laura's a Big Barda-style Paladin, Barbarian, or Fighter next campaign--she's diggin' life as a brawler.
This was one of the funniest critical role episodes ever, just behind sam's fairytale one-shot. everyone had so many hilarious moments haha I loved them
That was a very combat heavy one shot. And still so much comedy with these amazing actors. I wonder if they ever even had a chance against Talion. Like they were at 100% strength, 1v4 how it would have gone down. I'm assuming his dominate skill would turn the tide after getting 1 or 2 on his side just like it happened.
Forks are back! Love playing Volo's races, Orcs, Goblins!!!!
What a DELIGHTFUL One-Shot! Everyone was just having so much fun. I love everyone just sinking into their roles as stupid orcs/uruks (And semi-smart goblin) just PERFECTLY. Laura was absolutely LEGENDARY with Arby the Unbreakable (Who died unbreakable, and no way she doesn't come back still alive and even more unbreakable), And Matt just having so much fun with the group.
I also cannot stress enough how much I love Talion's abilities being translated into 5e rules. They just make so much sense. Bonus Action being Wraith Stun and Shadow Strike are just *Chef's kiss* Matt played Talion so accurately to how you'd play trough the game yourself that I can see the whole fight clearly.
Played the game at midnight and the first uruk i killed was sam's. Good work guys, voices sound great.
I'm inspired by Laura to role a half-orb barbarian for my next campaign instead of a pretty lala half-elf pretty rainbow girly girl like I usually roll...
Love half-orbs!! so round and shiny! yet they have a flat half so they can also be edgy af! :D 👍
Bonus points if you call it Roy. Roy Orb-son. Is anyone here even old enough to get the reference?
You might want to check out Dodgers (presshearttocontinue/dexbonus) half orc who gives birth to a god of miscarriages baby in Rollplay (itmejp) Westmarches - so good. Or even Itmejp' Crusher in Mirrorshades for a troll character who doesn't speak for half the series but communicates in drawings, his business card and actions.
EdwardHowton I got the reference because Bruce Springsteen mentions Roy Orbison in his song Thunder Road. I know Springsteen because of my parents lol
that's awesome!
Travis and Laura are so cute together! I hope they get to have more antics together in the next season of CR.
This is essentially Laura's revenge on Travis. I suspect her next Critical Role character will be a dumb bruiser.
ETA: Also she's awesome.
Robert N'zengou-Tayo nah it's fun for a one shot but doubt she would have that much fun going a entire campaign as a idiot.
It only takes playing an idiot once to fall in love with the role.
I was thinking of this too, and of all the times Grog has done something stupid. Turnabout is not only fair play, but oh, so sweet. >:)
Alex Morton cannot agree more, she wouldn't be able to get as into it as travis
not sure you know what ETA means...
This was amazing. Darin is an awesome guest star.
Finished this episode on January 21st 2022
Absolutely LOVE the face of satisfaction he has when he says "natural 20" at 4:22
This is essentially a hobgoblin, two trolls, and a goblin, planning to fight Drizz't.
I love it.
2 ogres but that is the gist of it
More like two ogres, an orc, and a hobgoblin
23:34 The crew laughing in the background makes this even better
I genuinely loved this one shot. The characters were fun, and funny- nice interactions between the Warchief, and Borg. Epic times. I loved imagining the scenes.
There's 2 things I know...this production was pure quality...and that's it.
Awesome scenario and role play guys.
It was amazing; good acting with the orcs! I laught my *ss off coz' all you guys have a so much fun with this characters and i felt the "power of the joy". 10/10
Laura and Travis' RP is a joy to watch. "Man filth!"
Two things I know: this was an amazing one-shot... and that's it.
Man, I wish there was a lot more of these guys playing together. This was so entertaining to watch. Hell, I'd even guess that - because of the great voice acting especially - this would be awesome to listen over my car stereo like it was a story audiobook lol. I've never had the opportunity to play a table top RPG before. It looks like a lot of fun!
Laura was on fire!!! One of my favorite characters ever!!!
I'm sad it's over , I liked those characters. GG!
Still wiping the shraak from our eyes at that impossibly well-timed missile snare by Eden the "Goodthink"er. May the Forks be with us even getting close to matching how funny this one-shot was when it comes to our own future one-shots. Brilliant as always guys
And Eden would probably have gotten away too. He should have just kept running and make Arby's sacrifice worth it.
But that was a glorious last stand.
I'm tempted to make the "2 things" joke but i'll just say: This Was Legendary
Sam: Oh no... we're dumb..
Me: I know Sam.. I know. 😂
Yeeeeeah finally! You guys rock, really. THe most awesome show there is on youtube.
I just love how they went from “Borg can bring us as new recruits.” But as soon as they saw the Shrak-Hole they just went “GO THROUGH THE SHRAK HOLE!!”
Hilarious and thanks guys. Once again sheer genius from Matt and the team. Hard to pick a favourite as you were all brilliant. Kudos.
"I speak for Sauron"
"Then i rip his throat out."
My favorite line ever.
OMG they are all so good! Laura's blood-lust/nice-guy troll was hilarious.
Wow, this RP is so on point with the lore of the game. Perfect score 5/7
Laura's voice and the personality of her Barb is hilarious. . . I'd want to hang out and just talk like this in a group doing daily mundane things. . . as "the forCs"
All 4 players are excellent in this.... so so good
i discovered these guys three days ago and i have watched at least 10 hours of dnd, And i havent even played it before, this is so fun, Laura was so funny I was crying on the line about the bossfight.
As much as I would probably love Critical Role, I could never get into it because i knew it would be such a big investment. I would love to see more shorter adventures like this on G&S.
That said, this was amazing. I can't point out any person as being the awesome one, it was an equal 5-way split of amazingness. Great job, guys. It was clear you were all having a blast!
CR just finished their campaign, so you could start watching when the new campaign starts. They wil start completely fresh (new characters), but with the same amazing people. Probably in the new year.
But... watching the original campaign that started this all... worth it! I have not regretted one single minute (just saying ;-) )
