- Turning a knock back into a come back, Janel Antoneshia returned to The Voice UK stage after a Blind Audition in 2018 failed to win her a turn from the Coaches. But it was twice as nice the second time around when Olly and will.i.am turned for the 27-year-old’s performance of Michael Kiwanuka’s ‘Love & Hate’. i just want to put it out there. i watch these auditions every now and then. i decided to watch this one, because i saw that she auditioned before and did not go through. now she came back. i wasn't expecting much. i wasn't even paying that much attention. eating with my headset on. she was singing, then at that one point, i started tearing up, i was emotional. i wasn't expecting much, maybe there's a lot we are keeping to ourselves. then at some moment, when we see it on other people, when we see ourselves in them, when we see a friend in some stranger, we can't keep it anymore.
Her voice is uniquely chilling, love her.
That's the greatness of failure,, failure can destroy us,failure can also make us rise to destroy failure!!!!💪
Beautiful unique voice. I was grooving in my chair and wanted to hear a concert, which is saying a lot for me. Congratulations for persevering!

Yup. Michael is one of those artists who never goes over the top in order to show off. His music is pure soul and taste. This version is too much imho.
tbh she kinda tries to do too much vocal movement. she almost fell into the same pit from her prior audition
