Dude Donny, I think we need to see your full glasses collection.
It’s extensive and smudged. The shades featured here are 2 for $20 at Walmart for those interested in fashion upgrades.
Hi everyone. Two things I would like to add is that you have to manual at the last second when rolling up the ramp in order for your back wheels to pop over the coping and lock into position. Your foot on the back tail let’s you lock into the coping and maintain balance in Blunt position.
And when you pull back in, you will want to slightly adjust your back foot from the back tail toward the center of the board. I usually reposition to just behind the tail where the board begins to flatten out into the standing platform. Repositioning into this pocket helps prevent your foot from slipping off the tail upon landing.
Leave me a comment here if you need more tips, or if you are interested in a different trick tip video. I’ll do what I can to accommodate!
thanks, that was helpful
The end is too real, I laughed! great vid!
sick vid
Nice! Really intresting
With you.
As soon as I get the opportunity I am 100% going to learn this. Just hope I can find a mini ramp to not kill myself in the process.

Hahah chill, dont let it kill u
Not dying is always my top priority haha
On the Apex 40 DD - the production run finishes today. It takes about... 8 days for the logistics pipeline to spit out sanded finished boards that are ready for graphics and another day or so to see the boards printed (at our warehouse in PDX). So... my guess is July 15th-ish?
Give a call or hit us up on chat and we will add you to the list to get you in early. Actually I think the Giftcard deal still works (buy a giftcard and get +10% extra OS dollars while you are at it). That would get you a discount on the Apex 40 DD which pretty much never goes on sale.
So for $300 you get a $330 giftcard:
shop.originalskateboards.com/products/original-skateboards-gift-card?variant=31143142391861
Not a huge amount of cash but enough to upgrade your wheels or something on us. PLUS you end up with first come claims to the Apex 40 DD when they come hot off the transfer press.
You guys have waited PLENTY long enough.
Thanks for sticking with us while we reset our supply chain to not suck.
_Scott
Original Skateboards great! I just got a giftcard, Sam hocked me up with the list. I cant waaaaaait!!
Hi guys. I love all your videos. I need a little advice I’m looking for a Longboard and a cruising board. Can you recommend one of each for me. Thank you very much and keep up the amazing work.
Hey rad, THAT seems like the way to go to me.
Couple questions:
1. How tall and how heavy are you?
2. What kind of hills do you have / want to ride? (Flatland, Mid Sized, Steep stuff)
3. What style riding do you want to do? Carving, Downhill, Dancing, Surf Simulation, something else? (feel free to be broad haha!)
As far as the cruiser is concerned some of the above questions will for sure help but we do make a surf based cruiser called the Derringer 28 that MIGHT work for you: shop.originalskateboards.com/products/derringer-28-longboard-complete-full-custom
That said if you are thinking something with a small kick (ie. Penny-like, please don't buy a Penny) I have heard good things about the Landyachtz Dinghy. Landy does some killer stuff and we build a lot of our boards with their Bear trucks (which are also great). I haven't ridden the Dinghy since I slant more surf skate when cruising (re: Derringer) but I would be for that for sure.
Let me know on the height and weight stuff!
_Scott
Original Skateboards hey Thanks for the advise. I’m 5’8 165 lbs and Mostly for cruising
Last Q. what kind of hills are you riding and where are you located?
That lets us know a little more about how other riders are going to be riding in your neighborhood so you get at least one of your boards that's capable of supporting you should a lot of people be into faster stuff.
Let me know and I will hit you back!
Yo Donny, got any tips or tricks to landing a Ollie/kick flip on an apex 37 dd?
Logslides Hey! The Diamond Drop concave works in your favor here, especially for Ollie’s. Don’t be afraid to drag your front foot into the pocket of the concave. Pop with your back foot and drag with your front foot. When your front foot hits the concave drop, it will flatten out your board in the air for a nice pop.
For kickflips, drag your front foot off the corner of the pocket and standing platform. Have you back foot on the back tail, on the opposite side of the board as you are dragging off your front foot. Pop, then flick immediately, and lean forward with wait over your front knee to keep the board beneath you.
Good luck!
Yeah what Donny said.
A lot of people don't know that the DC and DiamondDrop both have drops BECAUSE of the impact on Ollies. It was only partly to do with stability and primarily about getting more pop / height on your tricks (while keeping them level on a heavier board).
Hopefully we can keep building on those ideas!
If only I had the money to buy a good skateboard haah hahaha):
Nice video
Dude you always gotta hit us up on the phone or by email if you are short on funds. We ALMOST ALWAYS have something we can hook you up on to get you out there. It might not look perfect but odds are good we can find you a high end board that will at least be A LOT cheaper.
Oh yo, ring the 'Alert All' bell. UA-cam doesn't want to show our subscribers our new videos for some god forsaken reason.
Thanks for watching!

yo, i also got the dk arbiter, but what i wanna know is how is the other dude in the old videos doing that like fs millerflip? can we get a trick tip fa that?
do you also sell a pintail 40 longboard with a wave at the bottom of the board? if yes where can i buy it
shop.originalskateboards.com/products/pintail-40-longboard-complete-full-custom , do u mean this one? I think they will restock it in this month or early next month. Im not sure, i dont work there but i was talking about it with support for some weeks ago :D
@@wem0re856 yes i mean that one, thank you for answering my question
@@wem0re856 Thanks for the help dude!
@@melody9843 Sorry we missed your comment over here Melody. Let me know if we can help out on that Pintail 40 setup!
what brand for a longboard do you recomend?
What kind of riding do you want to do Sarah?
Also how tall and how heavy are you?
Those are the two biggest keys to finding a deck that works for you so they are always a good place to start no matter what brand you are going to make.
We make a line of boards ourselves (you will see me designing them at some point over here: ua-cam.com/video/8s-M0Wz5MzE/v-deo.html) the full selection of which can be found on our website: originalskateboards.com/longboards
Actually while you are over there we usually run live chat to try to make it as much like walking into a skate shop as we possibly can given Covid-19 and everything else. Happy to help narrow it down for you and most of the stuff that is out of stock is about ready to come back in first week in August.
Hope life is good!
