Carol, your stitching and quilting are extraordinary! Thank you so much; can't wait to see more of the quilt you have in the works. Your color choices in the quilt are spot on; applique is the best. God bless.
What a fun video! It was wonderful seeing what you’re working on, your framed finishes, and your beautiful almost completed quilt.....thanks for throwing in the stray threads as a bonus. 😁 have a great couple of weeks. Blessings and take care.
Congratulations on 10 k subscribers, Carol! What a great milestone. I think I have been with you from the beginning and still enjoy your videos just as much, if not more! - Sheri
Wow Carol! Your heaven and earth quilt is going to be gorgeous! I cannot wait to see it finished! My hubby is a farmer and can talk farming to ANYONE , ANYWHERE, ALL DAY! lol! But I love him for it. I am usually pretty quiet. I just love to listen and take it all in. I really enjoyed seeing all of your projects and plans and home photo's . Very inviting. Have a wonderful week! xo
Thanks for showing all of your lovely stitching, Carol. Love the quilts too. I enjoy doing wool applique-so much fun. You have a beautiful home. Pam Miller
Carol when I watch your videos I have to keep a pad of paper next to me to write down all the patterns I’m going to have to buy! Your work is just fabulous. Love everything you do. Your home is beautiful. Can’t believe how many quilts you have in that cabinet!
Hi Carol! I love all of your stitching, as always. Loved seeing pictures of your home, what a tranquil and beautiful place! And that quilt is stunning, can't wait to see it finished. See you soon, love ya!
Carol...... if you lived next door! You so inspire me. I know I’ve told you this! Our taste is so similar.......you just get it all done. Getting a handle on wips is my goal too. I have so many I love and they’re half completed! Keep stitching for us both! Your intro was gorgeous and I am so comfortable in a country home. My mom was an avid collector. Happy memories! Your home so reflects your love of Americana! Hope we see you soon,, and we can stitch all day! 😍
If you lived next door I’d hire your yard man. Hubs thinks it’s ok to not mow in winter. But hello grass still grows. Hahaha! I’ve been a collector of primitive and old stuff for years. It just seems homey to me. Love you sweet friend!!!!🥰
Hi carol really enjoyed your visit today your home looks amazing I also quilt and wool appliqué so always enjoy those things as well thank you so much for sharing Angela in ireland 🇮🇪🙃❤️
I'm always excited when I see you have a video!! Elizabeth Wott is absolutely gorgeous!!! Loved seeing your framed BBD pieces! Agnes Platt is gorgeous!!! Love your LaDDa Home piece!! ....oh goodness, I should just say that I loved everything because I did - thanks as always! Happy stitching!
I love your comments about fabric count ....you are right not all of us are comfortable stitching on 40 or higher counts. You have the fabric and threads, stitch it up regardless of the thread count. What a wonderful stash you have!!
Thanks for sharing...you have amazing needlework.....your quilt are wonderful....that cabinet is stunning.....wool, is fabulous...that book is wonderful..thanks for sharing
Thoroughly enjoyed watching. Love the mix of cross-stitch, wool appliqué and quilts - all of my favs! I've been in Northwest Ohio about 10 months and M & E is on my list of shops to visit - I only live about 1 1/2 hours away. Hope you are having a great week. Enjoy every stitch and sew just beecuzz!😊
Thanks for sharing your home photos, Carol! As usual, your stitching is beautiful. Love Anne Grater - have that one in my queue. Also working on Birds of a Feather. Long live silk threads,😊
Another hour of ooooing and ahhhhing! All your work is just beautiful!!! Your Ann Grimshaw is looking great! I love your fabric choice! I’m also excited to stitch Six Red Alphabets and the new one coming out! I’m jealous of your weather! For me it’s a gloomy grey! The entire month of January has been this way and I’m so ready for some sunshine! Love ya Carol! Stay safe!
January always freezing in northern Indiana...but very little snow so far. We lived in Fort Lauderdale during grad school. Many decades ago. Enjoy your WIPS and all the quilts! Lynn in Indiana
Thank you for your video. Loved the intro. Thanks for showing all your WIPS and what you want to start. Also thanks for the comment about 38 and 32 count being great to stitch on. I stitch on 28 to 40, 36 being my most comfortable high count, but I stitch quite a bit on 28 count, and I think it's lovely. Sometimes that count we feel is looked down on, just as aida is. Once in awhile I stitch on aida and I'm good with stitching on all the fabric. Congratulations on your 10,000 subscribers. You are one of my faves, your comfortable. Like an old shoe, and I mean that as a very high compliment. I envy you your weather's, I'm in frigid Chicagoland, and last night it was -19 wind chill. It has been snowing every day for about 2 weeks. Don't believe that "it's too cold to snow" saying, I'm here to tell you that's a myth!! Brrrrr! I enjoyed your quilting and the applique. I want to try that! Take care and happy stitching!
I enjoyed this video so much. It's amazing to see all if your beautiful stitching, quilting and how cozy your home is. You always make me laugh and I so look forward to your videos
I would listen to your "ramblings" all day😊!! I really miss the Old Mill Stitchery, it always brings back memories of the Gatherings when I hear you mention them. Did you ever attend any of those? They were my first samplers, small projects from Blackbird and Chessie and Me. It was so fun to have Barb, Alma and Linda as teachers. Your house and stitching is stunning!!
ME TOO! My sister and I missed the first Gathering but attended the next 4. They were absolutely wonderful!!! The Old Mill gals kitted so many of my Blackbird projects. I loved The Liberty Quilt store and the rug hooking place too. And don’t get me started about the pie at The Tea Room next to the quilt shop. Aahhh good times!
Your work is simply wonderful and I really appreciate how freely you share it. Whenever I am stitching a sampler I think about the antique samplers that are so rare, and then I think that by the time my work ends up on Ebay or at Goodwill, that samplers will be common as a flannel shirt! Doesn't stop me, but I wonder about it! Thanks for this terrific video. I am intrigued by the "Home" book....I never thought of using stiting to make a book cover....gret idea.
Hope that you and your husband look into documenting all of your cross-stitch and quilts, and where to give them to - such as a library or museum - so that they are kept together and in a proper environment to preserve them. Your stitching is beautiful.
@@saltboxstitcher I had seen on Lindy Stitches her sticker plates to put on the back of your framed projects to record details of the piece. And, just recently saw that Lori Holt has a library card and holder to put on the backs with all the info you would like to include.
What a good idea! My kids don't like antiques / china and crystal ...They need a home that will love them. Better to have things in life figured than to think I'll live forever. 😁. When your spouse dies, you look at things differently.
HI Carol - Your cross stitch is just beautiful, all of them stunning! Thanks for the shout out, hope you enjoy your kits! Thanks again, Mabel & Ethel (M&E Quilt Shoppe, Sandusky, OH)
Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos of your beautiful home. I was working on stitching the sampler from The Sewing Club book as I watched ! I share your love of wool applique and quilting. Thank goodness for stitching during lockdown - it's keeping me sane (ish)!!
I did both of those spring rabbit designs. They stitch up quick and turned out good. Total Framing put them in frames that stand up so that was helpful. Wonderful video as always!
Do you stitch on the wool with the blanket stitch or whip stitch. I know Maggie uses a simple whip stitch whereas Lisa from Primitive Gatherings uses fusible and a blanket stitch. I prefer the Maggie method. Simpler.
Another great video Carol, your whips are all gorgeous! I’m a big fan of Maggie’s to, one of my favorite people I’ve taken classes with! Enjoy the warmer weather we are getting some winter finally, but it’s always so cold......of course! I’m taking a deep breath now and being strong to finish what I have begun, I want to pull out Miss Manners and get stitching but I must stay on track.....we’ll see! Happy stitching!
love you Carol! You never cease to amaze me with your gorgeous projects and jaw dropping finishes. Have a great stitchy time till we get to see you again!
Thank you for sharing the pictures of your beautiful home, I love primitive and the colors. I am in love with Samplers, I have only done one but want to do more. There isn’t a Local shop close to me, I’ve left messages with shops but never get a call back. I want to order several charts that you’ve shown along with some linen. I look forward to your videos and your stitching progress, you are a prolific stitcher!
Well, it really says it all when your needlework items are better travelled and have visited more places than you during lockdown!! Great video, beautiful work as always. Happy stitching until the next time.
It was so nice to see some of your older framed pieces. I have rewatched your older video on your Blackbird Designs' patterns and finishes. They are absolutely my favorite designers for quilting and cross-stitch. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing your stitching and all the beautiful things you make with your many talents. You kept me company while I’m in hospital alone with Covid pneumonia. I really needed a nice visit tonight. Bless you, Cynthia
Carol, love your weather at 70degrees...we have snow and sleet due this evening...I may have to miss my dental appointment tomorrow LOL...Salute to Abigail is very special...loved everything you showed...especially PS/Still Water...the quilts...M&E wool quilting and MB Pure & Simple Book on Prim Quilting...best wishes and happy stitching ❤️❤️
Carol, your home is just beautiful. As I have said previously I am a quilter and only started after retiring. Met a lady through a quilt challenge website and we do FaceTime with some of our progress. She lives in Homosassa and I am in Delaware. I have started ordering cross stitch patterns to get back into stitching and am ready for the challenge. The mail has been extremely slow but it gives me a chance to finish a couple of quilts. I so enjoy having coffee with you while watching your videos and am truly inspired. Thank you and stay safe.🥰
Birds of a Feather is my unicorn chart!!!! It is no longer in print....I keep asking if anyone has it and so far I haven’t found anyone willing or able to send it my way...sigh..., I will keep searching! Your stitching is BEAUTIFUL and soooo inspiring! THANK YOU for taking the time to share with all of us!
Your stitching is beautiful, love your videos. Here in Yorkshire it was -5 last night and zero today so very chilly. Hope you have a good fortnight and see you soon thanks XB
Your stitching is beautiful! I love samplers yet I've not done any yet! This year I'm trying to finish some big UFOs so I can devote 2022 to a few samplers that I've kitted up. I love to quilt, too, and I just got more into the wool applique last year. There's just not enough hours in the day! Happy stitching!
Oh my goodness Carol! You are so inspiring and I love the pictures of your house at the beginning. I decorate in the prim style and yours reminds me a lot of that. Absolutely gorgeous home and stitching of course!!! 😍
Love the alphabet pattern you want to start! I don’t worry about dragging the thread over the back as I’ve become quite adept at using the pin stitch to start in the middle of an open area. Love your stitching!
Carol, you make my friggin’ DAY - I laugh and chuckle as I’m watching - my husband and I are in the same room- he’s gaming and I’ve got earbuds, watching on my iPad as I stitch (that’s what happens when you’re married 24 years!😳🤷🏼♀️😂😂) EVERY time I’m watching your latest Flosstube, I must chuckle differently because tonight, as I’m giggling along, he said, “Are you watching that Carol lady again?!!!!” I said, “yep!!” Thanks for the fun fun video again!!!! And yeah, it wasn’t that long ago that 28 ct was JUST FINE!!
I love everything you have shown....finishes, wips and future projects...they are all beautiful...your stitching is awesome...so exciting and enjoyable to watch... Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers.. Your home is gorgeous...will look forward to your next video...

Carol, you’re always such a joy to watch. Absolutely gorgeous stitching, quilting, and wool appliqué. Your home is so warm and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your treasures. Be well!
I’ll tell you what, I could watch you all day! Your assortment of the most beautiful projects, patterns, floss and fabrics is just amazing!! Your quilt is going to be gorgeous. I love the dark colors as well. It makes everything look so rich. The pictures of your home make me want to ask you if I could live maybe in your garage just so I could come in look around a little. Maybe that sounds creepy!! Anyway, see you next time!!
Hi Carol, love it all. I figured out that I buy charts because I think that I’m buying the time to stitch them. I do the same thing with books. I always enjoy your videos so much and thank you for sharing your time and talents. Stay well!
I absolutely loved everything that you shared; it is all so beautiful!! Your videos are never too long for me; I could watch for hours!! I also really enjoyed the pictures of your beautiful home vignettes. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents with us. I especially loved the quilt pieces you showed of the Heaven and Earth quilt; that is going to be fabulous. I hope that someday when you are able to travel to Wichita that we can meet there and maybe do a little stitching and shopping; that would be so fun. Hugs and happy stitching...............
Seeing your Quaker Garden prompted me to make a change in fabric for mine. I had mine kitted up with a boring green evenweave with just a small start on it. However, I received a fabric order today from Seraphim Fabrics and got Thyme Goes By, and it looks similar to the fabric on your piece! So I’m picking out my small start and will stitch it using the Seraphim. Thanks for showing it! 😊
Yes, I DID notice your haircut! I’m so jealous because I am desperate to have my hair trimmed. So desperate in fact, my husband said that he would ‘have a go’ and I’m tempted! 😂 Oh my goodness, I live in a farming area and if Barb or Alma ever came to stay at my house, the words ‘sheep’, ‘cow’ and ‘tractor’ would be banned! 😉
Carol, your stitching and quilting are extraordinary! Thank you so much; can't wait to see more of the quilt you have in the works. Your color choices in the quilt are spot on; applique is the best. God bless.

Love your quilts. And of course all samplers. They are beautiful. Love the story about Barb! I remember your sister. She is so nice but she was quiet.

Love the alphabet pattern you want to start! I don’t worry about dragging the thread over the back as I’ve become quite adept at using the pin stitch to start in the middle of an open area. Love your stitching!
I use the pin stitch too. It helps.
You are a special enabler! I have been collecting & getting prepared to Retire this week. Can't wait to stitch & keep watching you. Love you.

I loved your video, you are always an inspiration!
Love all the pictures and seeing all the beautiful framed pieces on the wall. Love your projects too!! Thanks for the video and inspiration!!
Thanks for sharing! I loved the frame from the Quaker one.
Love that you and your daughter stitch in the same series
Another wonderful video. Such a treat to see everything. So enjoyed seeing more pics of your lovely home.
I so enjoy seeing your stitching, wool appliqué and quilt progress. It’s like another fun visit with you. Blessings and happy stitching.
Oh my goodness, I live in a farming area and if Barb or Alma ever came to stay at my house, the words ‘sheep’, ‘cow’ and ‘tractor’ would be banned! 😉
Love it all but really loved seeing your wool quilt!
Your work is beautiful 🌸
