Isolated on a rocky eminence, Bryn Cader Faner is one of the wonders of prehistoric Wales. Overlooking Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Bryn Cader Faner ('the hill of the throne with the flag') is a Bronze Age round cairn in Gwynedd, Wales. The stones are all set at angles which gives Bryn Cader Faner its 'crown of thorns' appearance. A combination of stone circle and burial mound, it is thought to date back to the late third millennium BCE.
