The whole point of the blood eagle was, first off a punishment, but secondly a possible entry to Valhalla, if the victim didn’t make a noise they would be granted Valhalla but if they cry in pain they will not, so clearly some people made noise for that to be a whole thing
@@Eganja.you can make noise during the cutting of flesh and snapping of bones but once your lungs are pulled back you aint making a sound.

@@Eganja. once the ribcage is opened you can't emit a sound because you cant fill your lungs with any air nor push any of the little remaining air you have because the cheat wall is so hugely opened.
So as long a you withstand the cutting and hacking up your ribcage you will be silent, wanting to scream but unable. wanting to cry and beg for the sweet release of death but unable to.
you will feel the most excruciating pain mixed with the most absolutely horrifying and strongest drowning feeling. Your brain will scream at you to breathe, you will pull on every single muscle trying to get a single drop of air into you yet you will feel nothing.
