- Great news! The Government has announced that the £2 bus fare cap will be extended beyond 30th June until further notice, I had a feeling about the £2 bus fare cap would get extended, I welcome the move and that is the right thing to do, Go South Coast Managing Director Andrew Wickham says he feels very confident, covid is in the past now and we're getting more people using us, the governments on side and want buses to succeed.
Update: The £2 bus fare cap has been extended yet again, it will continue beyond 31st October 2023, originally £2 fare cap would end on that day but now until further notice!
Nice To see Andrew on the Programme. It's very good how it extended for that long as lots of people certainly are catching the bus more and after October it will only be 50p more. For example some people pay a ridiculous amount of money for some buses like £14 - £15 but a £2 single is much better.
£2 is pretty much a bargain if you think about it, cheaper than a taxi and train fare I say, I welcome the governments extended £2 bus fare cap as it is encouraging us humans to bus more and taking more vehicles off the road.
@@BradleyTheNo1Champion4variety Yes certainly Bradley. Like what you said, its a bargain how the cap stays like that whilst the trains and Taxis cost a Ridiculous amount of money these days.
Im glad the fare cap has been extended i didn't realise until i saw your vid Bradley, thanks for posting! 😃 I still have to get the bus to work some days so i can save a bit of cash 👍👍👍
No worries Matt. I had a gut feeling the £2 fare cap would get extended. :)
@@ferencdobos3527 Well passenger numbers are higher than pre-pandemic levels, during COVID, buses were running pretty much empty, I would say the busiest routes at Morebus are the M1 and M2 routes and 3rdly the 5 and 5a routes.
Which is better yellow buses or more buses Bradley?
It has to be Morebus Will, no offense to ex Yellow Buses company but they used to make mistakes with routes plus having too many timetable changes, Morebus Vs Yellow Buses was always going to be a challenge, since Yellow Buses collapsed, Morebus kindly took over the ex Yellow Buses routes and gave the ex Yellow Buses drivers jobs at Morebus too.
@@ferencdobos3527 That's right, but Will was only asking which company was better and Morebus are a very good company, even though we have to move on from Yellow Buses collapse, Bournemouth is still not the same without Yellow, well we do still have a tiny bit of Yellow as Transpora bought a few ex Yellow Buses Volvo B9s, Xelabus Group in Eastleigh bought Yellow Coaches.
