After multiple trials and errors i finaly made it!! I succesfully transfer Lord of the Rings 2 game Battle for middle earth (BFME 2) to a new Pc with all data ang game progress saved I had to copy 3 folders from the old PC to the new one (PC) in the exact same place/location on the os disk 1 os disk- C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II 2 os disk C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License 3 os disk C:\Users ame user\AppData\Roaming\My Battle for Middle-earth(tm) II Files i think the program data makes the game run and prevents it from crashing. Also the app data-roaming folder contains all game progress loads + the file Options.ini needed to open the game first time Good luck! I tried a lot of ways to find this one
In my case it does not help. I already have an empty folder options.ini and cannot create a text file there, this one I need to create on a desktop and paste it to the game files. Since there is this folder I cannot paste the txt file. I deleted the empty folder and pasted the txt file but still does not work.
check wether u are in the right folder AND wether you can change the text document to an actual ".ini". If you have not activated the ability to change document types it wont work.
@@TheButku In that folder go to view => optopns => change folder and search options => view => uncheck "hide extentions for known file types". After this you will see that text doc still has .txt extention. Change it to .ini

i downloaded this game 10 hrs and then i could not get on internet with any browser - so i reset my comp and the download was gone then i tried download again and NO broser again DAMN SHIT - they cant even fix a game to work !!! - NOT DOING THIS AGAIN was a weird problem - everything worked but my internet browsers and of coarse the game did not

@TheButku honnestly, i used visual studio code toi create a config files and put everything in, so you need to open visual studio code, clic on "new file" then name the file "options.ini", put everything in save and placed him in the right folder (if didn't did perviously) PS: these change work for me but After this my game end all time after 3min in game by a lose (like if i surrend) it's a copyright protection and i don't know how to solve it

@@steve6968 Thanks for trying mate, but this wasn't the issue. Using old (or somebodys) .ini should solve the freeze or crash on start, but for me it just did not work. Tried several times over, cleaned all files away, reinstalled couple of times, copied everything from an old PC and several other 'methods', still didn't run. Few days later i re-tried the installation anew, patched it and it runs like a charm. Sadly I cannot point out what was the cause or how to fix it. If anyone has problem with freezing or crashing I would recommend starting afresh with another installation.
