Good evening, Ted. The video you shared is a great example of excellent stamps. I also have some stamps with American presidents in my collection, but I have never seen such a variety before.
Interesting video Ted. In a sense you started over again also? I like the Austrian stamps, I remeber the video you did on them. Austria and Switserland have some beautiful issues, and their cancellations are often clear and beautiful.
Thanks, Chris. You are right, I basically rebooted my collection and am doing things a bit differently now. I will have a much narrower but deeper focus on just a few areas.
I love that Austria series with the regular stamps, monochrome makeups and artistic overprints, especially the tiger cow! Glad to see progress on reorganization - looking forward to seeing your collection evolve in its new home.
Ola Ted. You are progressing pretty well with re-ordering your collection, although you say it progresses slowly. I just love your final album pages. All the stamps you showed are so nice, but those that stood out to me are the stamp joint line pairs which are attractive and look very pristine with bright colours. The Great Americans series is quite impressive. The Sweden stamp you focused on, which is the largest engraved stamp worldwide, designed/engraved by Czeslaw Slania, is intricate, colourful and beautiful. You must show us more of your classical music collection - it is lovely! The Austrian stamps are all very beautiful, and look very nice mounted on the album pages. First time that I hear about a make up rate stamp. All in all I enjoyed your video very much. Take care!
It makes for a fun collecting area, as it is possible to complete it. There are just over 400 issues (singles and sets) and they are all lower face value stamps which makes them affordable. The US stamps from this time period are all available for not much more than face value, and the ZIP block can many times be found priced like a regular block with little to no premium for being a ZIP block.
Thank you very much. On the titles I'm using Eras Medium ITC; for all the small print, I use Candara. Also, I said in the video that the border was a file I happened to find on my computer. That's wrong; that border is one of the border options you can choose in the AlbumEasy program.
Awesome collection Twd. However don't you miss viewing your collection by thumbing through a stock book. Just curious why are you stamps in envelopes. You have very nice stamps thanks foe sharing with us buddy. How are you liking your move over there?
It’s because I stripped all my albums and packed them away like that when we moved from USA to Portugal. I am only just now starting to recreate my albums, as we have not had a permanent home for the past year. Next month we move into an apartment we have purchased and I can then get busy setting up my stamp corner (I won’t have a separate stamp cave) in earnest. We’re loving it here on Madeira Island. Best decision we ever made.
Hi Ted, would you have any recommendations on sleaves/ plastic pages for Davo albums. Purchasing these from Palo is quite expensive. Really enjoy seeing your collecting interests. Thank you, Bill
I’m sorry, I don’t. I’m not fully satisfied with the ones I have. You can in the video how these are not crystal clear. They are too thick and heavy also. I had some thinner crystal clear sheets in the States, but I have not been able to find any here yet.
Good video. I always like your presentation. But, this time, the constant wild camera movements made me sea sick. As always, thank you for your time and effort in sharing your knowledge and your stamps with us. It is truly appreciated.
Some stunning collections, that´s for sure ! Over here, stamps from the German colonies are sought after and hard to get for cheap prices. So, if you are able to buy a collection of these stamps for a good price, just go ahead. But be aware that there are also some fake cancellations so that more expensive items need to be certified. Greets from GER, U.
I hear you. Fakes and reprints are an ever-present danger. That’s why I only have a few German States right now. It can be impossible most times to verify their authenticity from the scans provided in the sales listings.
My main focus is on Classic (pre-1940) USA, early Germany, German States, and Colonies, and 19th century Portugal and colonies. However, I frequently stray, because, I'm a stamp collector, it's what we do. I have topical collections for classical music, fiction writers, engravers Czseslaw Slania and Martin Morck. And I like putting together long definitive issues of just about any country.
@lanuiiohu No, I don’t consider myself a specialist. I think of a specialist as someone who is dedicated to learning everything about a country’s stamp production history along with postal rates and postal markings on covers. In other words, someone striving to be knowledgeable in all facets if the postal history of a country. While I am focusing my collecting on only a few main areas, I don’t really delve too deep into the weeds for all that esoteric information.
Not anymore. I've pared down my collection to just the areas that are closest to me, with a few sets outside those areas just because I can't help myself. 😄
Very beautiful joint line pair collection - some wonderful color and freshness on some of those older stamps.
Thank you, Chris. And thanks, also, for the postcard. Received it today.
Good evening, Ted. The video you shared is a great example of excellent stamps. I also have some stamps with American presidents in my collection, but I have never seen such a variety before.
Thank you. I like this set for the large number of people honored who are not usually depicted in these types of sets.
Very nice. I don't believe I had ever seen Mr Zip before. I need to find him for my mothers US collection.
Playing matchmaker, eh? Thanks for watching, Doug.
Two videos in one day! The timing of your videos remains an enigma to me. Great video Ted! Happy Stamping!
Thanks again, Dan.

Thank you. Austria has several definitives series I like and am working on.
Thanks for sharing Ted!
And thanks for watching, Rolf.
Beautiful Ted.
Thank you so much.

Thank you so much, Charnie. Stay tuned for my next video, tomorrow, to see my Great Americans series on pages.
@@tedtalksstamps I am looking forward to it!
Magnificent Ted, just magnificent ! Love your collection. So beautiful. 🎉
Thank you. I will be documenting my progress in creating my album pages and getting my stamps mounted.
Hi Ted - thanks so much - really great viewing!!!!
Thanks, Jeff, I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Ya Ted I also like Mr. Zip, LOL!!!

Hi Ted, you have lovely collections!
Karen! Sorry I missed your comment til just now. Thank you so much.
@@tedtalksstamps No worries, it's always lovely to hear from you!
I really hope you'll dedicate a separate video to the stamps on the topic "Classical Music". When you lay them out so that each one is visible...
Yes, I plan to.
Love the way you display your collection. Well done! What font do you use in your pages?

Gosh Ted! I thought my life was busy. Its becoming a shame for me as well. Just no free time.
Nice collection, Ted. I really like the Austrian stamps, very interesting, and the German stamps as I collect Germany myself.
Another 7-day-old comment I missed. Sorry Jerry. Thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying this.
How cool! You've printed the Funchal album I made for AlbumEasy! 😀
Yes, I downloaded all of the Portugal area pages. Thanks a lot.
@@tedtalksstamps I'm doing it for Portugal too. Slowly, since I had an album in PowerPoint. But I have it in AlbumEasy until 1930, if you want it.
That would be good. Right now I’m only going after 19th century issues.
@@tedtalksstamps I sent you the file to the (I hope) your email. Let me know if you received it.
@PauloGuerreiro-i8v I received it. Thank you very much.
great collection from America but these from Austria was my favourites have some of these too but have them in order likes that looks proper and fine.
Thank you very much.
Wao beautiful colección 🥰👍
Thank you.

I apologize for that. I was unable to find my tripod mount for my phone. I’ve since found it and future videos will be better.

Ted could you do an update on the Crash of 81 on your next video? Is the bear market still alive and well?
I will work on it.
oops!!! I jus reread my comment "Twd " should be Ted, LOL!!! 🙃
No worries. 😄
👋 hi
Nice to see you, CAZ. 😄
What areas do you collect ?
