I know what you mean and that is why I started this channel. Most people who live in America have no idea who he is. I only found his music by accident when watching a Netflix show called "Dark". Since UA-cam is world wide, there will be a mix of those who have no idea who he is and dont understand why and those who know exactly who he is and have been following him for years. From the little thumbnail picture I thought it was Ren, then I thought he looked like Cillian Murphy, later got some David bowie vibes, but when he opened his mouth I totally did not care anymore who or what he reminded me of visually, I just had to put him on my "check this out" playlist and proceed to listen to a full album of his music! Captivating. First from the looks of the video I thought this is some musician from the 60's I somehow have missed and then after the drumpads came on I realised that "oh shit, people still make good music" :D

Thank you so much for your support. All of Asaf's fans that have been with him for years are the best group of supporters I've ever seen and have been getting an amazing amount of support from all of them. He has a very loyal and long-term fan base as I am now but it's no surprise because of his ability to not just make music but make music that brings out emotions in anyone who hears his music whether they know who he is or not. After realizing how special he is and all the talent he possesses, I felt very strongly that he should be known in every country and be remembered as one of the greatest artists to date.
He is so very talented, like unfairly talented lol, like he is about 5 incredible artists rolled into one. What's even more amazing is that he was never formally trained. For example, (IDK maybe others have this one too) of Asaf before his music career. While he was an animator, he did an interview in his animator workspace about how animation works. I think it was for an elementary school since the interviewer was about that age. Unfortunately Its all in Hebrew so I didn't understand any of it :( Thank you for sharing. Asaf should be WELL KNOWN for his gifts, talent, performances and work ethic by everyone around the world.

As far as his voice type, I dont think there is a catagory for his voice. I can describe how is sound to me though. I would describe it as hauntingly unique but its not just the sound of his voice but how he is able to express deep emotions with his voice. The range in his vocals are very controlled and can range from an ethereal falsetto to a gritty growl. Not many people can do both like him. 🤍

When I first heard him, I was watching a Netflix show and heard one of his songs without having seen the artist so I honestly thought he was a female singer with a beautiful, raspy, bluesy voice.

I happened to hear a song of his for the first time while watching a show called "Dark" on Netflix. (Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it) I loved the songs (2 of them) so looked up the artist and noticed that everyone in every other country knows who he is except for America. So, knowing that many are missing out on some incredibly beautiful music, I made it my mission (small but 100% committed) to get as many people here to hear his music as I possibly can and let everyone know where to find more if they enjoyed it and want to hear more.
