I've heard it said before that Elvis was the best producer who never got any credit for producing his music. I think this clip shows a little glimpse of him doing that with the band, the tempo and the crescendos. The man deserved SO much more credit than he ever got. I still find it unfathomable that, while he was awarded a Lifetime achievement award by the Grammy's in 71, He only 1 a couple of Grammy's, and for inspirational music AKA gospel. Those were of course worthy, but he should have had a shelf full for all his other performances and albums, not to mention Entertainer of the Year, Best Male Vocalist, and so on
Saw this man in concert at Madison Square Garden. I will never ever forget it. You could feel the electricity of anticipation when Sprach Zarathustra started. Women actually fainted!
I will always love that man. I started listening to him when I was 3 years old. Saw him in concert in Greensboro NC 3 times. I am now 56 years old and play his music and watch his videos, etc each and every day of my life. He brings me joy and happiness. Love you Elvis! Even gave one of my daughters his middle name.

As much as I loved the TCB Band, some of my favorite audio and video snippets are jut Elvis fooling around on piano and guitar. Now, he never needed to employ either instrument, with top notch pickers like James, Jerry, Ron Tutt, etc., but you really get a close up of him as a musician listening him play for his own enjoyment.
This was probably in the years that Elvis looked his best as far as health! Cause he was always from start to end one of the best looking men ever!!! His personality was so magnetic! Pulling you in!😁❤️

For me the rehearsals are just as entertaining as his concerts . His entire body reacted to music....the music was inside him. I love his voice...his humor.. his stage presence....his sense of style whether on stage or off... those are just a few of the reasons I think he is So great....there was so much more to the man I know....his kindness.. generosity.... It’s a general dismissal of the overall decline in musicianship in 21st century music - versus the golden century that preceded it. That said there is still great talent out there but it doesn’t get airplay. The popular aesthetic has changed for the worse across Pop music.
I've seen this and I have saved on my playlist! I love his rehearsals as much or more, because you get to watch how he works and he's always having fun! I think that's how he got the best out of his band and why they loved working for him! I also love how when he comes in for recording or rehearsals, he shakes everyone's hand and spEaksto every everybody.

Though this version removed a few songs from the original, theatrical 1970 release, but also added other performances. It's been available for sometime on Blu-ray/DVD. I highly recommend watching it if you haven't already.

And the audience would go crazy if he sang mary had a little lamb. Cuz he puts his own little tweeks to it. The only one that could do it but. His band followed his moves. And that ronnie. Really fantastic. With Elvis you get more than just a song only, you never know what he would do. You get the song his looks, the movements, performance and humour all in one.

An I’ve just had a ridiculous “conversation” with another on UA-cam claiming Elvis was a fat, ill, druggie by this date!!! Omg what is it about idiots who STILL perpetuate the lie ....he only gained weight (and let’s be very clear, he was NEVER obese! He would’ve had to be wheeled onto the stage and hoisted to the piano!!!) around 74 onwards but as I always say...a SLENDER PERSON LIKE ELVIS will always look “fatter” with even a small weight gain as it’s more obvious....I have always been slim but at one point in my 40’s I put on about 7lbs...I was asked if I was pregnant, was I ill, some said “blimey you’ve packed on the pounds”!!!!! Omg it was ridiculous....larger people can put on a stone or 3 an it hardly shows coz it’s absorbed....So glad you upload these videos, it shows how fit he still was and his energy is upbeat etc....not a fat, sluggish has been, makes me so angry 😠 Poor Elvis couldn’t win, no wonder he became so disillusioned later on with it all. His tone is a little off here. Maybe because he's sitting. But these studio sessions are so interesting, seeing the process. He's fully in charge. Which I went for years thinking that he wasn't that astute in music.
I remember when "TTWII" was exhibited in our COUNTRY (via a popular FIRST-RUN THEATRE located at a busy UNIVERSITY BELT ROAD for the First DEATH Anniversary of ELVIS circa 1978, there were constant screams on almost all its SCENES during the film's ACTUAL CONCERT FOOTAGES. The MOST WILDLY APPLAUDED was during his RENDITION of "LOVE ME TENDER". The theatre viewers actually rendered a posthumous STANDING OVATION and GOD, my tearducts opened up. My TEENAGE NIECE then who insisted to come along with me became an instant CENTER OF ATTRACTION as she let out a tremendous deafening SCREAM OF DELIGHT with yells of "ANG POGI MO TALAGA!" (our vernacular slang term/statement for the ENGLISH "YOU'RE REALLY SO HANDSOME!". It was indeed an EVENT TO REMEMBER FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!

An I’ve just had a ridiculous “conversation” with another on UA-cam claiming Elvis was a fat, ill, druggie by this date!!! Omg what is it about idiots who STILL perpetuate the lie ....he only gained weight (and let’s be very clear, he was NEVER obese! He would’ve had to be wheeled onto the stage and hoisted to the piano!!!) around 74 onwards but as I always say...a SLENDER PERSON LIKE ELVIS will always look “fatter” with even a small weight gain as it’s more obvious....I have always been slim but at one point in my 40’s I put on about 7lbs...I was asked if I was pregnant, was I ill, some said “blimey you’ve packed on the pounds”!!!!! Omg it was ridiculous....larger people can put on a stone or 3 an it hardly shows coz it’s absorbed....So glad you upload these videos, it shows how fit he still was and his energy is upbeat etc....not a fat, sluggish has been, makes me so angry 😠 Poor Elvis couldn’t win, no wonder he became so disillusioned later on with it all. I guess Marilyn Monroe wudv faced similar issues had she lived...forever compared to her younger self! Crazy.

I remember when "TTWII" was exhibited in our COUNTRY (via a popular FIRST-RUN THEATRE located at a busy UNIVERSITY BELT ROAD for the First DEATH Anniversary of ELVIS circa 1978, there were constant screams on almost all its SCENES during the film's ACTUAL CONCERT FOOTAGES. The MOST WILDLY APPLAUDED was during his RENDITION of "LOVE ME TENDER". The theatre viewers actually rendered a posthumous STANDING OVATION and GOD, my tearducts opened up. My TEENAGE NIECE then who insisted to come along with me became an instant CENTER OF ATTRACTION as she let out a tremendous deafening SCREAM OF DELIGHT with yells of "ANG POGI MO TALAGA!" (our vernacular slang term/statement for the ENGLISH "YOU'RE REALLY SO HANDSOME!". It was indeed an EVENT TO REMEMBER FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE!!!
