    Lights on locos, and the caboose, and figures, the weathering, and so many details. Stunning.

    I’m just flabbergasted by the detail & realism of these incredible trains. The videography is excellent and makes you think you’re right there…

    This is a magnificent portrayal of WWII military train operations when state of the art steam railroading power was at its zenith and contributing mightily to the war effort. Well done!

      Thank you! The Santa Fe was the country's "best" railroad by many measurements; 2222 miles Chicago - Los Angeles all on their own rails!

    I don’t know how you amassed this amazing collection but I’m sure glad you did all of the hard work and shared it with us. That 4012 Big Boy was so perfectly weathered, it was unbelievable. I give you credit for being able to weather it. My Big Boys are still pristine because I don’t have the skills and the courage to weather them, lol.

    I lived near Corona and the Santa Fe main line. Those 1480 class Atlantic's were used to round up empty Ice Boxes for the Citrus and Avocado season. Tough, good pullers and fast too.

    Where you get those tanks, jeeps and howitzers? Absolutely amazing!

      The vehicles are either Heiser resin kits or modified Roco items. The tie downs are from the U.S. Army tie down manual. Decals are from MicroScale decal sets. Weathering is a combination of air brushing and chalk.

    Too bad can't post a photo here. I have one of my dad, riding on the Santa Fe from Georgia to Pittsburg, CA, in1942, taking a break on the ground at the Gallup NM station.

    How many different Big Boys do you have?

    Is this your equipment running on a club layout? I ask because the level of detail on the engines and rolling stock is far, far better than the track, structures, and scenery of the layout. Also, the people talking in the background on the audio is annoying - so I suspect a club layout setting. Thanks for letting us see some really nice models running by the camera! Regards.

      Yes, this is my equipment running on the "Just Trains" hobby shop layout in Concord, CA. Thanks for your nice comments.

      Must be hard to fund a home layout large enough to do justice to you motive power. I have a basement (1/2) layout in N-scale but also build shelf layouts. It is always limiting to run one era or one location when there is so much interesting to model! Regards!

      @@littlejohnny47 Deciding on the era is easy; steam era. It's deciding on the road that is difficult! I like them all!

    Some of the tanks look like Pershing not Sherman 🤔

    • @MrFrost-bi1br
      @MrFrost-bi1br Рік тому

      You are correct. The Pershings are much bigger.
