you can still bunnyhop pretty well, you just literally need to have your character model move by about 160degrees from strafe to strafe. It's definitely a little bit more challenging, but I think it comes down to the legs in the game. You need them to hit the ground at an angle for your next hop.
If you do it precisely on certain areas of maps then you essentially get velocity that's fast off just one hop. Not as fast as a runboost, but still fast.

Right? Had the same realization while watching. Went back and watched a CS:GO "version" of this video. Sure enough, almost all of the clips contained a bhop somewhere in them. What a shame. Sadly, I don't think it's coming back.
