I have lost all interest in learning new things and studying new stuffs. Today, I have a flashback. I was a curious young kid and I used to watch the skies though telescope, study organism through microscope and s lot of science stuffs. I was privileged to have a lot of resources and a mentor in a village where there isn't electricity at that time. I feel nostalgic thinking about those memories so I check UA-cam for videos about science stuff and I came across this video. It's like an epiphany. Enceladus, you're my favourite moon. It's quite sad to imagine what I could have become if I didn't ruin my life. This video about Enceladus brings back that enthusiasm I had as a kid, I have been solely existing for the sake of existing with no feelings and passion for so long. Thanks, NASA for bringing me atleast some excitement and happiness and some hope for even few minutes. It just burns me to see these people, I could've been one of those guys. I had so much potential and resources and I screwed it all up

I hope that in the last 2 years since you commented that your living has become easier, I too have felt exactly like you have and have struggled with addiction and depression so I can partly relate. It's never too late but the most important thing is to realize that there is always a new day. The most fulfilment I've received in life is not from my accomplishments but from bringing happiness into other people's lives and living to make a lasting positive impression just like your mentor you mentioned. Live for others, when you give you begin to live.

I have always gone against the grain, and had certain beliefs since I was 4 or 5 years old. I don’t blame nobody, but I do learn from my mistakes. I don’t know what u did to make you think your life is ruined, but believe me, it’s not. My grandmother always says that the only thing that cannot be resolved, is death. As long as you’re alive, you have a chance to redeem yourself. Don’t get down, guy. Keep on fighting.

I think Enceladus is possibly my favorite moon now too. 300 miles of warm ocean in the middle of nowhere. Would be great to shoot a movie on that rock. Maybe they can send a scuba robot down into the water one day to check it out. See what's under the hood
@ritemoelaw_books83 no europa is still the big ticket item in the solar system. Europa is much larger, and has a global ocean that has had 4 billion years to evolve life. Enceladus is remarkable because it is so tiny, and so distant from the sun. Its only 300 miles wide. Yet it still has plumes of water. Nobody expected that until the Cassini mission in 2006
For a middle aged woman, Carolyn Porco’s reactions are adorably childlike to me that gives you the look of wonder and curiosity and how glad you are to be alive in an exciting time in the universe where we are all living and thriving and typing out comments on these things called cell phones. i found out about Enceladus via a game I play on steam, called Cells To Singularity. I originally was unimpressed with the planetary stuff that they added recently.... But since then I have found myself so much more curious about various aspects of planets and the moons around those planets that i can find no fault in that added content.. What once seemed like a slapdash add on to get more interaction has grown to a well researched option that leads me to find videos like this one. This was the first 'hit' when I googled the name of the moon Enceladus, and I'm better for having seen it.
While I will no doubt spend a great amount of time watching other videos on this channel, I believe that credit is due to say that game brought me here and I intend to be a continuing viewer.

I must say that these commentators deserve alot of credit in the way they explain all this in such easy to understand layman terms and how their own excitement over it makes me feel excited as well. They are a credit to their profession. I hope there is continued exploration of this most beautiful planet of planets and her amazing moons and rings. Its like Saturn is throwing out an invitation for all to come and be awestruck by her secrets.^^

At Mark 13:30 in the video, she states: the probe sensed the moon's water salinity (Enceladus's ocean water) comparable to that of Earth's water salinity. The ramifications of that discovery, alone, are huge. Let's look at just 2 ramifications. 1. The odds of any part of our own solar system having a ratio of the same salinity as our Earth Oceans is, well, just mind boggeling. 2. That the salinity ration is at least similar to that of Earth's oceans means a greater chance that not only micro life is likely under Enceladus's icy crust but also a likely hood of similar fish such as Kril, or even shrimp, or even other small fish like sardiens is likely to easily be photographed in those waters of similar salanity of Enceladus! Now that would be exciting to see and in these days of virus woes we all need some uplifting discovery like that boost our overall mood. For this reason, alone, I'm quite sure NASA and private explorers like SPACE X
are going to send more probes to these truly blessed moons of Earth like water.
In addition it would be no problem dealing with the cold by having heat pumps remove heat from the warm Enceladus ocean and pumping that heat into an above ground shelter to keep astronauts warm in an Enceladus moon base!
I think there is 99.9 percent probability that we will find life in our solar system. I truly believe that we are so close of reaching the horizon. Best wishes I hope everything is friendly.
I never expected this level of geological activity to occur on a moon of this size, then to find out as Cassini flew through the plumes, Cassini detected organic compounds, this is a cryovolcano temperatures in minus 230 degrees 240 degrees Fahrenheit

I believe I cited some of Porco's work in a recent paper I did for a class a few days ago. I didn't think I'd see what she looked like. I feel ashamed that I didn't create a high quality paper for her source and many other astronomers' work to shine.
Finally.....something that makes more sense to me than all the UFO data I've been listening to lately. Would be awesome to also see some of this up front, but space travel isn't quite that advanced yet nor that easy to get there with our technological advancements still being in the childish-state of age and mind-set...HIGH 5 and thanks for sharing.

Wouldnt it be awesome to see those geysers? I fantasize about it. Miles high geysers not a few feet but miles high. I want to go there before hitting the rings.

In Saturn's rings there is supposedly little rocks that are like engines and they create waves in Saturn's rings. The rocks in Saturn's rings can also run into each other and create walls of those tiny particles millions of miles high. Another fact is that Cassini saw the rings were smaller, meaning Saturn's rings are younger than scientists expected.
Are these people scientists or actors because their comfort and ease in front of camera and their narrative delivery are too perfect for people whose chance of facing the camera are pretty slim o none.
As a child, i had a large telescope, and by 10 had seen Jupiter's storm, the moon's terrain , Saturn's rings...but today's astronomy seems to be giving hope, a hope that our parasitic and destructive species which still cannot beat greed, monopoly, corruption and the parasitic devourment of our present planet, can ignore how wreched we are, and rather than learn and evolve and overcome these traits here, ...my God the solar system, the universe should be terrified if we do become an interplanetary species.We might possibly not be alone as lifeforms go, but we might well be the ugliest.

Gravitational forces don't explain why the plumes on Enceladus are on the south pole only. And then instead of explaining this "minor" discrepancy, they move on to conclude that the plumes are a sign that there might be life! And no mention of the electrical circuit NASA discovered between Saturn and Enceladus.

those images are so clear it feels like made by an artist but those sure are real. the geyzer plumes though. i speculate there is some hotspot deal going on similar to what you get in a microwave but caused by gravity instead.

As I look at the frame at 16:03 of this video the center of the frame has an image that looks like the continents of North and South America. In addition to the shapes, there is a ridge in the North America section similar to the Appellations an a ridge on the left side that runs from the northern section all the way down to the left side of the southern section. This is obviously just a coincidence but I wonder if anyone else had noticed it as this image moved by in the video.
I am much different than others in my family. I Love Science. Saturn is my favorite planet. One year, my son had something at his school in the winter time. A guy had telescope and he had Saturn Visible. so I took a look, and was so extremely happy!!!

This is great. I appreciate it, and applaud the exploratory quest. I myself have considerable astronomical interests. However, we should not forget. There is indeed a planet that definitely sustains life without any doubt. It is the only known celestial body in this vast universe that is indeed habitable and supports and has life for sure. It has been named too. It is called Earth. What are we doing to it (environment, ecology), and to all the life (human and other) that it sustains? To all life that calls it home. Let us prove that we indeed qualify to become a life form worthy of occupying other heavenly bodies.

Still watching again, 17:25 but then with the plans of testing an aircraft to actually land near the geysers on Enceladus, you could test it first in situ at Lake Bogoria Geysers and Hot Springs in Kenya. It's a near-perfect test site for that.

The inner constriction of Enceladus core are strong enough to heaten the water inside when the heat reach its boiling point (not exactly boil) and push the water out the moons in form of VAPOR .

Saturn ripped apart other moons and asteroids that flew by it, simply by the force of its gravitational field. And thus, the rings were born
In my opinion they have no clue and the explanations they give are just as ridiculous. The only explanation for such a coherent disk around Saturn must of necessity be electrical. There are no other forces which can result in such order.

Gravity must of necessity be a composite of attractive and repulsive components in order to adequately describe orbital motion. In the electrical model of the universe, bodies are repelled from one another electrically by their electrical potential and find an orbit defined by the balance between this repulsive force and their electrically induced motion which is described by their rotation and electrical and magnetic fields. All bodes have electrical fields which involve plasma birkeland current flow in a torus outside the visible light spectrum except as we observe on earth, and planets where visible light is emitted by the interaction of this current migration and dust particles and denser matter as we find in our Aurora borealis.
