First, this video showed the map a bit in a rush and second:
It's not 50k for a map, it's 50k for a mod. And almost everything you saw was custom-made like the blocks, effects and the spheres.
And of course, 50k is a lot, really a lot. But how could someone make a mod that is worth 50k? No one could, i'd say.
And also, the developers had not enough time at all to make a mod that is worth 50k.
I understand your point, but it is important to look at all aspects.
