  • I bought this 2008 Audi A6 3.2L Quattro with 160k miles with a misfire in cylinder 2. First I thought it was carbon deposit on the valves, but when I checked the compression on cylinder 2, it was zero! I opened the valve cover lid, and I found a spring broken. I will keep you updated with a new video! Thank you!

    How were you actually moving that valve to see if the spring was broken? I couldn’t see what you were touching… I’m assuming if the spring wasn’t broken you wouldn’t be able to move the valve manually without cranking the cam?

      Donald Hensel yes! But it’s very rare to find this problem in the engine.

      @@XKRYSXX Do you have a video of the repair? Did you just fix 1 spring or all of them?

      yupyupliketeddy only 1 was the problem, I don’t have a video. You have to remove the camshaft to replace the spring.
