A single line is not enough to change the whole city, that doesn't mean we should stop build more, infrastructure need time to build up, also people mindset and habit need time to change and adapt. I can imagine if you say the same to any car centric big city with no metro "oh no, metro is useless because people love riding on their own car"
Dude, this is not an easy task. You think by completing a metro line, the whole city will ride the train and leave their private vehicles? No, they don't. This is just a single line, its network is very limited. If you want to change the whole city, we need to build lots of MRT lines like Singapore so everywhere in the city is reachable my MRT. So, keep building!
