This episode was nuts to me as a manga reader. Almost all of this is anime original content. The fight with Ichigo and Yhwach is brand new. All of the flashbacks with Yhwach and the Soul King are new. Yhwach giving his motivation for what he's doing is completely new. The Soul King being given an actual name is new. The fact that Ichigo is a hybrid of all the races making him capable of killing the Soul King is brand new and serves as a fantastic way of explaining why he's even so important in all of this in the first place. I am beyond happy that Kubo is being allowed to cook after how badly Shonen Jump screwed him over back in the day where they forced him to rush through and completely skip all of this important stuff so they could get his series out of their magazine. Bleach getting the love it finally deserves these past couple years has truly been incredible. I'm so excited to see what other new things are added to this cour.
I'll be the "Umm actually..." guy. Yhwach didn't plan anything. He's just emphasizing that he saw Ichigo's inevitable fate to kill Soul King, and everything that happened was pretty much him walking toward that fate. No need to adjust, change, or do anything to Ichigo's life.

The fact that you realized how the Hell is never metioned alongside the other realms is crazy, you truly are the best Bleach reactor! Also in the flashback at the start of the episode, which we can assume was the process of the creation of the realms, we saw only 3 worlds (Hueco Mundo, Soul Society and the World of the Living). Even Urahara, after the Adnyeus death, talked only about the 3 Realms, without including Hell. Could this mean that Hell is the only world that exist independently from the the Soul King? And since we didn't saw it during the creaton, it could also be that Hell came into existence at a different moment, maybe even before (or after) the birth of the three realms. Also the fact that Adnyeus was able to see thousands of years into the future it's crazy!

They're already changing the whole context for the Soul King with that flashback, and if they put the separation of the world in an eye catcher instead of the main story, that means they won't delve too much into it. At this point, either they won't adapt CFYOW at all or will do it as a movie of sorts. The opening already showed us how much they're going to cover in this cour. And the next one will have one less episode because this one will have 14. And there's still no sign of NBFH being anything other than an one-shot.

I personally don't like that we have a whole arc being dangled like a carrot for when either he feels like continuing or Jump is facing enough problems in order to force him to continue (something not that far off considering MHA ended on a very low note, HxH has too many hiatuses in order to be a steady flux of income, OP is on its last legs - even if it takes years to end - and people are already criticizing JJK's ending).

More power for you, after all. -Most of this episode is original content. About the only things that were in the manga were Ichigo team arriving and the ending sequence. The fight is completely original. -The Soul King went unnamed in the manga. Now we finally learned his name: Adnyeus. That shows he was a person like any of us (although a very powerful one) before "ascending" to Soul King status. -Some things I'd like you to keep in mind for future developments: Yhwach's speech of "I'll end your humiliation", "life and death were separated" (as the eye catcher stated), and the "the eternal world that existed, the darkness which threatened it and the one who could repel the darkness" speech.
So a lot things here It seems Yhwach himself is more of a “mistake” of the soul king which explains why he’s the father of the Quincy he is the only one who has the power to make Quincy. So the Quincy only exists because of him so the Quincy technically shouldn’t exist in this world. Which also explains why it’s only those 3 worlds that are crumbling and not the Quincy world whatever that may be because they technically shouldn’t exist. This also gives more context to watch Aizen wanted from the Hogyoku and his evolution he believed the combination of soul reapers and hollows was the key to getting to the soul palace. The hogyoku kept evolving and made him into that hybrid ichigo himself is a natural hybrid of all those. It makes sense someone who is apart of those 3 worlds could be the only one to actually kill the soul king.
This is just heresay and conjecture but between the novels and mobile game which Kubo helped with story beats on we may have a rough idea of what might of been going on during the primordial era and what led to everything happening...... Primordial world is full of immortal humans and entities. While no death sounds pretty cool, we all know what happens when human souls collect too much trauma and sorrow, they hollowfy. This fact is something that is fundamental to how souls work. The more buildup of sadness, loss, trauma, etc the soul eventually hollowfies and you get a monster that eats souls. Somewhere along the way, the Quincy are formed to deal with these hollows. Adnyeus has a son, his son is put in charge of creating these Quincy, we know he can gift powers to others etc. The quincy are very effective, but there is an issue. They are obliterating the soul entirely. Adnyeus realized the primordial world is doomed, as every soul will eventually either hollowfy or be destroyed by the quincy. Adnyeus works with Ichibei and they come up with a plan. Split the primordial world into 3 distinct dimensions, and split life and death allowing souls to be purged of memories and traumas of past lives, then they can be reborn into the mortal realm once again and thus the cycle of life and death can begin. So we have the mortal plain, an afterlife called Soul Society where the shinigami can send souls to be cleansed and await rebirth. It's almost perfect, but hollows still exist, souls can still be turned hollow if they suffer enough, so the third realm can be used to quarantine them away from the mortal realm, and the shinigami can still cleanse the hollows and send them on to soul society for rebirth. Great, we have a plan...... First, they need a couple of insanely powerful god like beings who are capable of splitting the worlds to begin with. Enter Adnyeus and Ichibei. Long story short, everything Yuha can do Adnyeus can do better. He is the progenitor of every type of power you see in the Bleach Universe. Pieces of him exist inside everyone who has some power. The Hogyoku has a piece of him, Chad and Orihime also, it's why she has a reality bending power. All of the fullbrings have pieces of him inside of them. Ichibei can then take those worlds, and begin applying names to it all, concepts etc. There is a problem though. Firstly, Adnyeus can see into the future of these new worlds, and he sees that the Quincy CANNOT exist in either reality as they destroy souls, he can see the rebellion, the death of his son, multiple times, all of the pain and loss etc. Also, these 3 worlds cannot exist unless there is a lynchpin to keep it all stable. So, despite all of the things he sees, Adnyeus sacrifices himself to create the 3 worlds, seperate life and death, and create the cycle of rebirth. Ichibei cuts up his body and turns him into the SK we see today. Obviously Yuha, while still respecting and loving his father, feels betrayed. You also realize it's more fucked up when his power allows him to hear the screams of those souls when they die. Yuha despises the concept of death. He wants the original world back, he wants the primordial undying world back, but he does not realize that his race will doom the universe, or does not care. From here the plot of Bleach happens as you know it. We find out in the mobile game Ichigo is in very real danger, as he is a candidate for SK, meaning if Ichibei needed him, he would not hesitate to kill Ichigo and cut him up like Adnyeus and use him to keep the worlds stable.

the fact that Orihime's sudden appearance behind Ichigo caught Yhwach off guard when Ichigo wasn't even able to make Yhwach flinch might hint something in the future that's not even in the manga, it's also a no brainer since Orihime's power is to reject any phenomena, so it could theoretically negate The Almighty, not sure though, it could probably lead to a new anime original scene.

recently there's been a fit of bad translations inserting zoomer slang and real world politics where it didn't exist before, so I was just commenting on that as I have in other videos. In this case "yapping" is interesting because it only recently started being used in the younger generation vocabulary in english, but it's actually a very old word that was used more often in the early 1900s. So I kind of like Shinji saying it here
for the stern ritter I think only the weaken ones got killed by the ashwelluen which I think acts like a hp drain attack bazz b had enough hp left to surivie (maybe if it lasted longer he to would of been killed by it but ywabah had to rush) and as for the other two they weren't hit directly by it still lost some of their powers to it

Strong Quincy without Schrifts lose all their powers, like Ichigo's mother. Just for perspective on the powercreep, baseline Yhwach was strong enough to just trivially beat most captains and fight Yamamoto and Ichibei in bankai, but Ichigo is overpowering him in shikai. Yhwach with Almighty active easily beats pretty much anybody at this point, but Ichigo still has room to grow in terms of power. Remember, bankai boosts a shinigami's powers by 5x-10x... Basically, Ichigo now could beat Byakuya during the rescue Rukia arc with what amounts to a mean look.
Actually Auswahlen can kill strong, pure-blooded Quincies as well. Accutrone (the gunslinger old man) was killed by it. Mixed-blooded Quincies always die (with Uryuu being the sole exception) while pure-blooded Quincies vary. Some will die, others can live but lose their powers.
