Dave & Stevie
Very relaxing watching lorry cleaning, I could sit and watch other people working all day. Ha Ha.
Very relaxing watching the truck wash, I think Dave you should have done a lacquer coat over the fresh paint to keep it glossy
answer the question about finding truck washing relaxing - YES, really wanted to go to sleep( after work and dinner, usually 7-8pm when i watch these) :D
Big shout out to Dave taking time to give Ant training on the grabs 💪🏾 everyone needs a boss like Dave!
Good to see Army Ant putting the time in tweaking his skills on the grabs
You Can tell Big D puts a lot of time and effort into the training at D&J. and it shows. multi skilled work team.
As for the Grabs etc. I think they should keep there original names. it’s the progression of D&J. and when you think about it. D&J & You tube all started with a Saturday morning maintenance film.
And wow 🎉 My question for air time from Stevie. Not to shabby 👍👍👍👍👍🎉
Big D cleaning the grabs etc. personally i’d wet down first ( even more so if the suns out and vehicles are warm ). RTF first. then snow foam over the top leave for a good ten mins. ( I time mine by having a brew ). then power wash of. works a treat
Hi dave, regarding your question about how to clean the grabs. I do car valeting as my job. I would recommend to spray the grabs with tfr and give it a few minutes to work but dont let it dry. After a couple of minutes spray snow foam straight over the top of the tfr and again give it about 5 minutes and rinse off. When you have rinse the snow foam off you can then clean it with a shampoo. You should then be left with really clean paint work. Let the chemicals do the work for you lol.
Also if you want to keep them as clean as possible look into using polar seal. It makes water bead off and help to keep dust and mud to a minimum
Wow, what a quick 30+ minutes. And a big shout out to Dave. Teaching Ant the proper way to operate the grab. You had the presence of mind to realize that Ant was nervous when the camera was on and didn't force the issue. Well done you. I really liked this video. See ya'll Sunday. ❤ 👍
Ant smashed his training he will soon be a grab master just needs the experience of doing it each day..
Also good to see our Chelsea out on the forklift showing this kind of work its not just for men. You smashed the fork lift amazing driving skills..
Dave cleaning can you not get a snow foam degreaser to clean up the truck ? Brush attachment on your jetwasher
Don't forget dave new step plates. And new ladder for new truck
Good video guys and girls ❤ it D&J
Hey guys another great video get snow foam and a soft brush that il bring it up thats what we use to wash our trucks and its the dogs bollacks works great 👍🏻
Keep it simple for the Grab names, so your oldies don't get confused.
Big Grab, Mighty Grab, and New Grab.
Wednesday is complete...our midweek fix of D & J Projects 👌💯
Snowfoam, microfiber drying towels, soft wheel brushes, interior and exterior detailing brushes, interior shampoo, traffic film remover, bug remover and a nice grit guard bucket. Might as well do it good
Brilliant video as always, try not to use fairy liquid there is something in it that dulls paintwork. Get a nice car wash liquid attached to a brush. Also once clean and shiny and dry go over with a lacquer then it will always be shiny
Hi to all at d&j,black is the worse colour to keep clean but looks good once washed dave but I'd get one of those long car wash brushes for about £10,good to see ant getting some practice in and will soon get the hang of the new grab and good to see Chelsea on the forklift aswell, yes very relaxing watching someone work and especially washing vehicles😂we need of chealsea and the ladies in the shop 💯,I think the name change should wait until we see what's going to be done to the cabs as dave said there was something being done to them soon🙂👍
Fairy liquid gives the best shine when washing a vehicle.
Looks like Ant soon will be very good with the grab - keep it up 👌🏻
When my dad washed, he's lorry, he always said - sophe and a good brush, it's the only proper way. He used the same brush as you do, Dave, for the wheels and then a brush with a long shaft one it, so he doesn't need to bend down for water and stretch up and down the lorry.
Some Bilt Hamber no touch snow foam will help clean the wagons. Or get a bigger soft bristle brush and use the 2 bucket method. Rinse the brush off in a separate clean bucket of water before putting it back in the bucket with the soap in.
Bubbles Dave taking pride in keeping the fleet looking good. Nice to see him training ant on the grab. As for Stevie keep the content as it is, like to see all aspects of the jobs that you all carryout.
Well done lads, keep up with the good work that you all do.
Since your trucks are a running billboard drive up and down the roads, it’s very important to keep them clean. People will notice that. Shows how well you run your business. Great job Dave..
Little Black, Mighty Black and Black beast!! got to be
Amazing work. Your a excellent boss Dave love the fact that you take time out of your day to train and show different ways of doing things and how to work them keep it up.Thanks for the video take care
How about a mash up vlog between DJ Projects and Partridge Exterior Cleaning. You could get Sid to clean the grabs after all he's done tanks so grabs should be no problem
Ant great too see you practising on the grab, we'll Dave to allow him time to practice to get the experience, great family business 👍
Once you get the stickers on the sides of the tipper. Spray lacquer over all of the sides and that should help the cleaning and keep the shine up.
Great watch. Thank you
White is the easiest colour to keep clean, hard to believe, and yes black is the hardest!
Fair play to Chelsea, Asny, Jamie and Ant working on Bank holiday! Hopefully Ant will pick it up and be comfortable on camera in no time! Nice to see Chelsea on the forklift showing the guys how it's done lol 😉. Typical bank holiday weather that Dave 😂. I use a broom to wash my minibus, longer reach and cleans more suface area👍. If cabs stay same colour leave the names if you change cab colours changes the names.
Yes the washing is very relaxing.
Dont forget to put marker boards back on the body dave dont want Vosa being on your back 😂
Very relaxing watching you wash mighty white, the brush you used, I’m sure you can put on a hosepipe with a soap bottle attached to slowly feed the cleaner with the water. Much easier than by hand imo. Great episode as always xx
I love all the before and after bits, great to see the massive improvements.
Hi Dave,
When you painted the trucks you didn’t finish off the job, after paint to get a nice gloss you should have lacquered the paint with 2 coats.
Nice job, still watching since episode 10. Keep on going - not too shabby.
Love the video, but I was in pain watching the wagon being washed. Lol 😢😂
Bilt hamber snow foam is the business & a decent truck pole brush lol
We always used a soft shop broom to clean our trucks and you have to rember black shows dirt more thzn most
Made me feel sleepy watching Dave washing the truck with what resembles a toothbrush 😁. I'm sure you can get a mobile washer/roller lorry wash machine that you can rent, but I suppose it's another cost when you're running a business 👍
Ant we have all got to learn the job just take your time matey and keep practicing . The old saying practice makes perfect. Keep it up matey.
Autosmart snow foam and a telescopic soft brush we use on our tippers..
Hi you need to get some long handled soft brissall sweeping brushes for soaping and get a soap attatchment for your power washer .
Hi Dave Ant Jamie Chelsea another great video of learning and practise make perfect grab looks great shine .have good week kay & stuart
Nice one Dave most car shops sell them big blue brushes that you fit to a hose pipe
Names for Grab lorries could use
Muk 03 or Muk 05 referring to each vehicles number plate. Would be easier to remember also Stevie uses this on the Fords.
Again I need to say what a wonderful work ethics you have. Everyone always looks as if they are enjoying their work. Hats off to you👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you 🙏
D&j all the way 👍👍👍
Dave, your Wednesday videos are putting me to sleep, last week spraying, this week washing, what's next ? Heavy rain on the cab roof 😅
I really enjoyed this video, nice chilled one and no begging for likes from steve in this one,
Dave, lovin how you've changed your mind in keeping Mighty White cleaning maintenance up. Nothing says more about a companies attention to detail and cleanliness than a shiny new vehicle. Maybe look to hire a young person (M/F) to maintain the vehicles and the yard, sort of a D&J apprenticeship. while giving back to the community. Cheers!
Grate video like always. Dave you need a extendable brush that you can connect a hose pipe till that what we use for washing our luton vans with
Hi Dave & Stevie,
TFR shouldn’t be used as part of your regular cleaning, when used it should be diluted and only on really dirty vehicles or when your trying to remove the wax,
What you need is a PH neutral cleaner which Wont damage the paint finish whereas TFR has a PH of around 16. 👍
Yes, it was relaxing watching you washing the big rig, but kept wanting to say “ Hey, you missed a spot.”😂 Great seeing Chelsea operating the fork lift. She’s a pro at it. Also watching Asny training on the grab. Can understand him being nervous about being on camera while training. He did great though. Dave, your a good teacher. Liked how you joked around with him about “back to the gym”. 😂 As for as names on the 3 grabs still depends on what is done to the cabs.
A good lesson in cleaning the grab today.😅
I thought it was good to see you Dave, teaching good lorry practices with family.loved to see Chelsea in the fork lift nice one.X
One of the questions you answered was about the completion of Stevie's Summer House, I just had a look for Stevie's "Summer House Part 3" as I was waiting for it too and I think someone may have forgotten to post it? 😉😆
Black, the best colour when clean and wet, the worst to keep clean. White and silver are better but not so nice when clean. Snow Foam def worth a try for cleaning. But would still need a rinse first. Great vid as always.
Finally caught up with all the videos lol bit gutted really but back up to date now, Even if it is very late or should I say really early on a Sunday morning, Looking forward to today's video x
Another Wednesday special! Great to get to see Chelsea doing a mix of stuff, that’s what I love about D&J, Dave has all the knowledge and experience and he fitters it down to the young bucks to learn 👍!!! Never ever a sad face at D&J!!! Iv never sprayed a car nor a back of a lorry but, a push bike I have 😂 and I don’t know if this would help but, after spraying we let it dry and then sprayed clear lacquer over the top might be worth looking into but, most of all another great video roll on Sunday (D&J afternoon time) 💪👊
TFR is great but has its downfalls, if its too rich it will fade the gloss out of the black. Buy a telescopic brush for the body. Tfr first to get the grime off, then snowfoam the body and brush it in with a telescopic brush! We have a family business and run plant lorrys this is how i do it and get the best results.
Hello chaps, I understand the pain of the black paintwork, I have a black car and its the worst colour for showing the dirt. Glad to see the swan still sitting on the eggs. Ant was doing well on the grab practice I bet it's not as easy as you make it look. Chelsea is a dab hand on the fork lift thingy. Instead of Q&As from D&J just for a change, you should Q&A a subscriber to see what they like/dislike from vlogs, things they would like to see more or less of, although each and every one of us would come up with a different answer. Another great vlog. Best wishes Christine x
Tell me about it! Even after a good clean and polish a black car looks bad in the sun.
Love watching all you're video's what a great team of father and son both grafters and obviously not to forget everyone else involved did you have steam on you're pressure washer ? If so try turning it off when rinsing if no steam I apologise as already mentioned an extendible caravan brush with hose attachment works good 👍
Great video brilliant boss giving the training needed well done ant😊 Stevie we watch all videos to the end not seen the finished summerhouse keep up the good work and brilliant videos great to see Chelsea 😊
Aslong as you have the scope on your O'license you can use that new truck straight away you have 28 days to apply for the disc.
love wedsday special dj team
Also get magifoam and foam gun from autobrite direct. Snowfoam the trucks, leave for 10mins then jetwash off
I'm loving the black. 👌
You need one of those bottles that attach to the hose where you can spray it down with soapy water!
Better get the loads a snow form attachment for the stream cleaner and some big brushes
Black looks sharp and you can’t beat a hand washed vehicle great job loved the video Ontario Canada
Could do with a snow foam attachment and telescopic brush for that bad boy
Regarding the larger pieces of concrete/slabs. Why not save them, and use them when building more blocks. Dave - at the rear of the site (the road leading to the bridge/church) Is there any possibility of shortening the bank (where the trees are) and making more space to increase the bays. You could create a tall wall of blocks holding back the bank, and you would increase the volume of soil for screening.
Snow foam for the grabs u be right then
Hi Dave
Black is going to be a little harder to maintain, but glad you painted that color I wish you could paint all the cabs the same color as that little van. I yhink that's a sharp blue color
Ant is starting to get the hang of operating the equipment.
I know when i was learning something i would be camera shy.
It's hard enough having the boss there much less thousands of viewers.
Glad you thought of that.
Hopefully you can maintain the team that you have and everyone be able to cross train.
As always wishing everyone at D&J the best
Stay safe
Love you guys
Really chillaxing episode
Big up to dave and the bank holiday crew
Great to see Chelsea on the tools and doing some great driving!! nice one
Get a snow foam gun to spray on then a pole brush used for lorries to clean the grab and rinse away would be much quicker
You can get xtra long forks that go over your forklift fork’s might make life easier when you’re pressure washing your hiab run a good soap& detergent through the machine makes some difference
Great video D&J
Think dave ment rear axle hub oil seal. Yet another cracking episode thanks D&J team 🙌 woop woop
Hi gays keeping up the very good work!👷♂️😉👍
Could do with yellow markers on your wheel nuts shows if there any movement in your wheel nuts do you need a operator licence with your fleet .snow foam
Keep the old names for the Lorries, love them .
Dave use a ceramic coating on them bud,,will keep shine alot longer && you will on;y need tp rinse off to get shine back !🙏🙏
Heard your dad talk about getting the grab cab's wrapped, a vinyl wrap only lasts between 1 and 2 years and is costly to remove.
One of those jet wash foam brush things would be good for your fleet xx
Relaxing...well I feel asleep, and to re watch the clip. "Onyx" ' big blackie" needs some yellow strips on the tip. Would be flashy.
I didn't think I had miss any part of any videos, but I can't find the the ones about your Summer house Stevie, could you have put it somewhere else ? Great video as usual but today was ( I think) special, being in the yard with Ant, well done Ant. And looking after your fleet. Thank you for sharing, very entertaining. 😘💚
I must have missed it too. I’ve always watched to the end… unless I was commenting & missed it 😢
PAPA grab, MAMA grab and BABY grab for the new look vehicles
Are the front fenders and step surrounds greyed plastic? If so may have originally been black. If so a blast over with a heat gun or gas torch would get them back to original black.
Keep up the great work. Been watching since about episode 7 👍👍
You've got a nice clean work shop D&J,nice to see because some don't👍
Another fantastic video by D&J
I think you should treat mighty white in getting the outside of the bucket wrapped, will be a lot easier to clean and will look new when finished 👌
Keep up the good work lads 👍
Another great eposide from D&J 😊👍🤗
Dave if you shot some clear coat over the black on the beasts it will protect the colour a bit better from the stone chips ect loving the videos keep it up lads and lasses
Hi Dave, is there any way to get a day with D&J for training, would love to have that ticked off my bucket list...great video..
You need some G101 all purpose cleaner that will get all the fleet gleaming
Wagons are looking bang on dave ! Great Wednesday video !
Don't use fairy liquid on the paintwork! Its an abrasive and will quickly deteriorate all that hard work painting! Get a decent snow foam (Bilthamber) snd a lance. Let it do the work. Then if need be, you can agitate the snow foam while on the paintwork with a soft brush! Keep up the good work guys. Been watching since the start! P.S do you not also need reflectors on the side?
Keep the grab names the same, it will be funny especially if they are blue and black, Big Red and Mighty White will be perfect!
Spray tfr snow foam over rhe top, leave for 10 minutes and then wash off but don't do this in direct sunlight as products will dry out
Are we ever going to find out where stevie disappeared to 😂😂😂 love the vids guys ❤
Call the trucks the Black Knights
30:50 Q&A Filmed with a jacket potato 🥔. It's like one them blurred out interview you see on crimewatch when they get an actor to talk 😂
