These games are always fun to watch, and I so appreciate the commentary, especially for those of us who want to get into cEDH but for one reason or another, haven’t just yet. For me, it’s so complex and therefore intimidating! So the mulligan and gameplay commentary really helps my understanding, thank you 😁
Thank you. We have thought about cutting down one some off it. But we have gotten a lot of feedback that people really like the explanations. So it is all sticking around.
Good one William I think you telegraphed your adnaus too much though, you could have just played one land and imp seal to seem innocuous then gone for it! Anyway good lines!
3 misplays here imo: 1) Playing all mana rocks and Imp Seal. That was basically broadcasting "I've tutored for Ad Naus!!!!!". It would be much better to just play land and Imp Seal, pass. Then the Imp Seal could have been Mana Crypt, Rhystic Study, Dockside or something else. Broadcasting your plan is never good. 2) Casting Dauthi. Biggest misplay. Sol Ring into Brain Freeze would also have developed your board and stopped the win attempt. It was very clear that there was an Ad Naus coming turn 2. Dauthi doesn't prevent it, so you're havily gambling on the other blue player to have an answer. 3) Never don't counter Ad Naus. Ad Naus will basically always draw into so much interaction that you can't stop it afterwards except with like Split Second stuff. Also an Ad Naus from 30 life will almost always win, especially in RogSi. In this case it didn't matter because the Ad Naus was double protected to begin with though.
I don't think it was a bad play to not counter the AdNaus if your strategy is combat. You can't expect 2 players not being able to interact and blame it on you

Crazy that mins doesn’t just turn 0 tutor for Rhys tic and then turn 1 land sol ring rhystic
I saw that after the game. Then I slapped my face. haha
With that hand you slam keep an tutor for mystic remora imo. You have mana to keep it forever and mana over to interact even
That rhetoric Smile on the thumbnail... the main driving force to come see this awesome stuff
hahaha
"I could do X, but I am going to be greedy and do Y" -Mons before losing every other episode
Not being greedy often makes you lose sadly. You are sometimes rewarded for being greedy.
Certified rog/si moment
Ishai Kediss is my next deck for sure
Also adding that altar to my tymna Dargo deck asap

I will agree to this. I was personally greedy this game.
