    Nice, exactly what I needed to know. Also, you have a great voice but it-s sometimes hard to hear it clearly when the background music is so up. I understand you need it, but your own voice IS a character itself. EDIT: NEVERMIND I just watched your last vid and you figure it out, cool, thanks for sharing!

    In my honest opinion, the only big difference in first class is the quietter ambient, in both alfa pendular and intercity, so if u dont need a "quiet" ambient, then second class is good enough for u

    I will visit Portugal in May. Would you advise to book train tickets in advance, if so, where from? Or simply pay on the day of travel?

    Where does it say that the trip from Sao Bento to Campanha station is included in the ticket? I couldn't find this information elsewhere.

      When you buy a ticket online, you pick your starting and finish station, and also pick what service you want. In his case, he likely ordered the Urban/regional train from São Bento to Campanhã, and then the AP to Santa Apolónia.

    Thanks for the video.
    So the Pendicular is not much faster than the regular intercity train? Is there a big difference in price?
    I’m in Porto for a week next month and looking at flights home from Lisbon…debating whether or not to take a train south or take the east way out and connect on TAP. I always like seeing the countryside, which you can’t really appreciate from the air.

      Not particularly, if you aren’t short on time. The comfort level is much higher though.

      @truedarklander 2 роки тому +2

      About 30m less, but the price difference isn't that big either, but AP is much more comfortable. Expect the time to go down in a few years as the LGV will be completed

      The problem with the Alfa is that in many places the lines don't allow it to reach full speed, and that's something being worked out. It's also an "express" service that only stops at a couple stations, unlike the InterCities.
      It is substantially more comfortable than the ICs. And in 2nd class the price difference isn't too much for ICs 1st class. While being more comfortable.

      You can take the metro/subway/underground. It's a short ride on the red line of Lisbon metro until Oriente train station.

    • @arturjcrebelo3275
      @arturjcrebelo3275 2 роки тому +2

      Metro is very cheap and very easy, It's only 3 metro stations.
      You take the metro in airport station and is 3 stops to reach the train station call Oriente.
      The stations are Aeroporto ---> Encarnação ---> Moscavide ---> Oriente.
      You leave the metro in the Oriente station, go up 2 floors of escalators (underground is the metro, one floor above is the bus station with buses into the city and to all cities in Portugal and even Madrid in addition to taxis and finally two floors up is the train station.
      Do you have elevators if you have a lot of suitcases and escalators.

    Η μέση ωριαία ταχύτητα είναι 90 km/h και δεν μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί "εντυπωσιακή", ειδικά αν σκεφτεί κάποιος ότι η ανώτατη ταχύτητα των συρμών αυτών είναι 250 km/h!

    • @rogeriomonteiro760
      @rogeriomonteiro760 Рік тому

      Η εμπορική ταχύτητα των ανακλινόμενων τρένων στην Πορτογαλία είναι περίπου 120 χλμ/ώρα, τώρα περίπου 110 χλμ/ώρα, επειδή υπάρχουν έργα εκσυγχρονισμού στο τμήμα μεταξύ Αβέιρο και Πόρτο. Ακόμα κι έτσι, δεν μπορείς να παραπονεθείς, γιατί το ίδιο τρένο στην Ελλάδα και δήθεν σε πλήρως ανακαινισμένο τμήμα είναι λίγο καλύτερο. Έχει εμπορική ταχύτητα 127 χλμ./ώρα.
