Canada to Yellowstone Tour, Day 1, Seattle to Winthrop. (The start of an awesome tour!)

We collected the bikes from EagleRider's Seattle branch first thing this morning. Although there was no screen on Carols Yamaha Bolt (XV950) when we got to EagleRider they swiftly fitted one. We left Seattle and headed towards our evening destination of Winthrop. I am loving riding a Harley Davidson Street Glide again. We have ridden some great roads today, past some stunning scenery some of it unfortunately was on fire. Winthrop is a old cowboy town. We went out for food and beer. We chatted with the friendly locals in Washington County’s oldest Saloon,Three Fingered Jacks. Tomorrow we head into Canada.

The entire north cascades highway is a bucket list ride. I especially enjoy riding the 530 coming out of Darrington north towards Rockport. Riding along the Sauk River under those trees at 50 mph with the sun shining down in speckles on the road is what motorcycling is all about.

Nice footage. It is worth a note that stopping at the summit on Hwy 20 and taking the trail out to the lookout is well worth the view for any others wishing to bike the route.
