Chanel Medium Classic Flap Bag unboxing, why I bought it, London store experience and thoughts

- Welcome back! This video is marking a true dream come true for me - I have finally purchased the Chanel Classic flap in medium size after wanting it for 5/6 years and I still can't believe it's really here!
In this video, I take you through my unboxing process, talk through the features of the bag, why I bought it and the in-store buying experience as a first-time purchaser. Because of the new ID system, the Classic flaps no longer come with an authenticity card, but are instead digitally registered through an online portal. I walk you through bits of what to expect for this, too.

Many congratulations on your classic flap, it’s such a great investment. I too bought mine at Bond Street in 2014 after I sold my first apartment I treated myself to this bag, it cost £3075. Mine still looks brand new as I’ve hardly worn it, simply because I bought a mini rectangular in 2015 and it suits my lifestyle more but I absolutely love my medium. Thank you for the info on the spa, you’ll find that after a few years the bag will lose that shine which to be honest I’m quite glad as mine did look a little bit “plastic” in the first few years, but now the leather looks more luxurious, caviar leather gets better with age. Enjoy your new baby, she’s beautiful 😍

whoah congrats on scoring such a classic! and thanks for the thorough in-store experience. Makes me wonder if they made customers register their bags right away to discourage reselling (cuz the personal info associated with the bag will be the buyers')
Thank you!! I deff think so, for me I liked that I got to register cuz it added to the “official” ness but then again the warranty really only notes the bag purchase date so I don’t think it’ll hinder reselling too much!

How exciting! I enjoyed watching this video :) Chanel's 5 year warranty period is for all bags (not just classic) and wocs purchased after April 2021. I remember my first Chanel purchased in 2016 - black, medium classic in lambskin w/ champagne gold hardware. They didn't have a waiting list back then, but I remember sales associates (Sloane Street branch) would stop mid sentence and jump to serve well dressed(/expensive looking) customers walking through the doors..
Look forward to more of your videos, I really enjoy the thought process and how detail orientated you are in describing the pieces. Also been thinking to add the Loewe Puzzle for the practicality and every day use, just deciding what colour best suits my style 😊
Also - I'm curious to find out why you chose caviar over lambskin!

And I chose the caviar because of durability and looks actually, I personally prefer the textured look over the supple pillowy look in classic flaps as I feel it tones down the dressiness a bit, though think lambskin is in the cards if I ever muster up enough energy to get a mini square :))
@@Nachopad Puzzle - I am considering the "dark blush" they released recently, but thinking maybe the colour doesn't suit the style of the bag? Though probably better to see it in person before making a judgement
I also have also found myself looking at the next Chanel piece. The 2.55 reissue in aged calfskin (ideally in chevron) is growing on me. Did you get a chance to feel this leather? It has a very durable feel but doesn't have the same shine and suppleness of lambskin. The chain on the 2.55 is something! I think this bag is for a mature version of me... Holding back until I feel ready ☺️
For now, we can enjoy our current pieces 🤗

I kinda know what you mean, the color seems a bit more proper and neat and I feel the bag is meant to be more effortless and casual, but definitely need to see in person to judge! Yes the reissue actually used to be “the one” for me until the logo won me over 😂😅 the leather does feel amazing, might need to add to the next list ha

Since i didn’t get to register my bag on my name with my email, I’m just wondering how can i scan the microchip in my bag? Like how did you scan yours so I can see the details of the bag as well? Hi, congratulations with the classic flap! I just bought the same bag too but in the beige color after waiting for 7 months. I notice it has air pocket / air bubble at the inside bottom lining. Do you happen to have the same issue with your bag?
PS : I also bought the loewe puzzle small after watching your video and it is a great everyday bag and very understated. Love it!
