I know this piano is old and may not be tuned well but it’s not mine. This was recorded in a piano room at one of the dorms in Harvard University (not sure if the piano is still there; the nice red carpet had to get removed after a flood)
I cannot tell you how many times I've listened to this cover over the years, but I can say that 1:37 still gives me goosebumps every single time without fail. So good.
I would say don't worry about it. This is well above and beyond even the standards required to be a professional pianist, for say, background music on a cruise ship or fancy restaurant. I've been playing piano professionally since I was 15 and I would have a lot of difficulty trying to play this piece at that speed.

Them wearing a green sweater is absolutely amazing. Not because it resembles Chara, but because it resembles Kris where we find out that Kris knows how to play the piano. The fact that this video was made 4 years ago makes this such a crazy coincidence.
The color of the sweater was a mix of lime and a duskier shade of yellow green, not much green, making this coincidence even more mind-blowing Chara has a green and cream color, while Kris has lime and yellow.

No, it’s just pure hard work and talent. I’m telling you right now piano is almost 90% practice. If you practice hard enough, you can play it, no matter what.

The nuances between how a note can be sounded I mean. It’s going though, especially considering how little time I have for it.
So my 6 years old student showed me this today and asked me to teach it. Im not even a pianist, and i couldnt even play it myself. She cried. And then i showed her how to play parts of melody there and she was happy. Im just impressed by her taste in music, she’s 6 for god’s sake!

I decided to start looking for sheet music for this song, but wasn't hopeful because it's such a complicated song. I had no idea how one could make it work. This is, as far as I'm concerned, a perfect cover. And you have the sheet music immediately available. You are a wonderful human being.
Everyone's crazy about the left hand but the right hand during the chorus is so difficult... Other than the staccato quavers at 230bpm in the left, the right hand chorus is probably the hardest. Incredible arrangement! Glad you added another chorus and an actual coda instead of ending where the track loops. I like the sound of the piano as well, gives a different unique quality
It's been almost a year since I started learning this peice and I think I can play the whole thing at tempo pretty well. (I took a 5-6 month break of playing it). Playing through the whole peice once exhausts me so much, it's crazy. It's so fun to play though.

It's been almost a year since I started learning this peice and I think I can play the whole thing at tempo pretty well. (I took a 5-6 month break of playing it). Playing through the whole peice once exhausts me so much, it's crazy. It's so fun to play though.
