Oh my! Lawrence Welk and pin curls. We never missed Lawrence Welk. Our rabbit ears antenna with the tin foil would always have to be constantly adjusted and the KNOB on the TV would not stay on the channel - so my brother and I, being the youngest of 5, would sit on the floor and take turns HOLDING the knob. We always went outside as soon as we ate breakfast and mom was lucky if she got us to come inside for supper or when it got dark. Mom would always get out the brush when I walked in to brush and wash my hair. I was so tender-headed. When I was older I would always pin curl Mom's hair. I enjoyed stitching with yall today and listening to your stories. I really love how the Potoky mini will hold a q-snap and you can flip it over. Love the green mini POTOKY! I can't wait to see that chair finished Liz and I love your nail color. Have I missed a recent share of the farm scene Deb? I believe it was a Dimensions? Loved the cute ornaments! I love Floss Friends. I like to stitch while I watch and listen. I always make sure I have a pen and paper to write down new things I learn from both of you. It looks as if the POTOKY stands are very comfortable when using it. I like the way you can put it on your lap. I am interested in the M3 series. 😇🦃🍁🍽Day before Thanksgiving. Today I will make Pumpkin pie, cornbread for my stuffing that was my fathers favorite. I will also make butternut squash soup today. All of these things will be eaten only on thanksgiving day. Every time Liz mentions Elizabeth town it brings back memories for me. 🥲 It is beautiful there. So enjoyed stitching along with you today. It snowed again last night so will be doing some shovelling later. We live on an acreage so drive over the snow till the bobcat comes to dig us out (has already been by once this winter!). I really like how that Potoky stand works and have it on my one day to get list. It looks like it would be convenient to take to a friend’s for a stitching afternoon.
That was fun ... Thanks ladies! Our oldest son, who will soon be 33 years old, also loved watching Wheel of Fortune when he was a baby. I think it was the combination of the music and the wheel spinning that caught his attention. My husband is not a big fan of turkey but as soon as I mentioned your bacon wrapped turkey his eyes got big. He loves bacon and would put it on everything if I let him. LOL! Watching Deb stitch with her POTOKY stand really makes me want one. Happy Thanksgiving!
Lol! We had the same Saturday night pincurl routine! We haven’t been able to watch Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune for the last 12 years. There are sounds on those shows that will wake our dog from a sound sleep, and freak her out! She shakes, tries to hide and carries on long after the channel has been changed!

Thank you Deb and Liz for joining me during my peach tea time. Lol. I loved heading all your memories. Thanksgiving while I was growing up (before marriage) my parents would have my dad's side of the family at our house. After dinner we would set up card tables and play euchre. The laughs we would have. My husband and I don't like cooking a whole turkey. So we get 1/4 to 1/2" slices of Turkey, roll them with stuffing in side, pour gravy over them in a 9 x 13 pan and heat it up in the oven. Yum! Deb, I loved watching you use your POTOKY frame. I love the color of the green one. Have a safe and fun Thanksgiving day.

My niece just suggested the same thing the other day. Switch the living room with my sewing room. I can't put all the living room into my tiny sewing room, but I could at least bring out my sewing machine. I'm sure from there, it would snowball. I would sure love to have the mini green Potoky. I wish the two of you a great week and wonderful and happy thanksgiving! We are celebrating just my husband and myself.. and of course our beautiful cocker Spaniel “Cooper”. My son and RN DIL who also live in El Paso, had plans to gather with us, however they and my two granddaughters came down with COVID-19. They are doing ok.. but the baby is taking a little longer to get through it. My oldest son in MN and his wife and 3 granddaughters too have COVID-19. They seem to be doing well. So I have one son and DIL and two more granddaughters who have not yet joined the COVID-19 bunch. I’ve done a lot of praying and continue to do so as well to give thanks for the over abundance of blessings I enjoy every day! And by the way, I’d be even more blessed with the line green Potoky! Just sayin!
Liked watching Deb work on her Potoky stand! She just flips from front to back w/ease! My husband has dementia and being able to tune into your floss tube enables me to step out of this stress for awhile! Thank you guys!!
Love your personal stories. Thx for sharing them. I really enjoy them. I have a turkey story I want to share. When the kids were growing up we would plan what to grow in the garden each spring. What else should we do to save money? We have raised chickens for years. How about turkeys this year? Yeah! Just big chickens, right? Yeah. Next question, how many? Well, we concluded that 12 was a perfect number. One a month. Yeah. So we did. Got them butchered and in the freezer. Yeah!! As with butchering chickens it took a couple of weeks to want to eat one. But out it came. Yum!! By the time it was completely eaten it was only a couple of weeks before it was time to do the second one. Less yum....long story short it seemed like we were eating turkey non stop the closer we got to the end. So it ended up taking us 18 months to eat all 12 turkeys!! LOLOL. We NEVER did THAT again. Live and learn. Deb would you tell me more about the village you are stitching? I talked to my local l and s about them. She thought there was only a holiday set. Is that true? If so, would it be easy to have them not holiday? I want to leave them up all year. And how much do they cost. Have gone to their website, but no prices. Grr. Have a great holiday to you both.

I have an idea for Liz’s gadget corner... Scotch Tape! I use it when I’ve pulled out stitches and have lots of lint. Lol. I am new and make lots of mistakes and changes so I love having tape in my sewing box.

So enjoyed stitching along with you today. It snowed again last night so will be doing some shovelling later. We live on an acreage so drive over the snow till the bobcat comes to dig us out (has already been by once this winter!). I really like how that Potoky stand works and have it on my one day to get list. It looks like it would be convenient to take to a friend’s for a stitching afternoon.
That was fun ... Thanks ladies! Our oldest son, who will soon be 33 years old, also loved watching Wheel of Fortune when he was a baby. I think it was the combination of the music and the wheel spinning that caught his attention. My husband is not a big fan of turkey but as soon as I mentioned your bacon wrapped turkey his eyes got big. He loves bacon and would put it on everything if I let him. LOL! Watching Deb stitch with her POTOKY stand really makes me want one. Happy Thanksgiving!

We haven’t been able to watch Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune for the last 12 years.
There are sounds on those shows that will wake our dog from a sound sleep, and freak her out! She shakes, tries to hide and carries on long after the channel has been changed!
Nice to have someone to stitch with and with all that is happening now it helps to have that contact with friends. The sharing is the best!

I am going to have to get serious about a Potoky stand in 2021. It looks so natural watching you stitch and turning to the back. What ease! It’s just not in the budget but can be next year. I too have a birthday in December (2nd). It’s a mid-way milestone!

Thank you Deb and Liz for joining me during my peach tea time. Lol. I loved heading all your memories. Thanksgiving while I was growing up (before marriage) my parents would have my dad's side of the family at our house. After dinner we would set up card tables and play euchre. The laughs we would have. My husband and I don't like cooking a whole turkey. So we get 1/4 to 1/2" slices of Turkey, roll them with stuffing in side, pour gravy over them in a 9 x 13 pan and heat it up in the oven. Yum! Deb, I loved watching you use your POTOKY frame. I love the color of the green one. Have a safe and fun Thanksgiving day.

I so enjoy seeing the two of you stitching and talking. I don't have any stitchers to sit with, we are also back in lockdown until the 2nd December. There is not a Potoky mini colour that I don't like. The grey is so stylish on the website. Mini is my favourite.

My niece just suggested the same thing the other day. Switch the living room with my sewing room. I can't put all the living room into my tiny sewing room, but I could at least bring out my sewing machine. I'm sure from there, it would snowball. I would sure love to have the mini green Potoky. I really like the Potoky and have several large projects started. Have had shoulder replacement surgery and that would be a great help in working with them. Love you gals! From Texas.

I wish the two of you a great week and wonderful and happy thanksgiving! We are celebrating just my husband and myself.. and of course our beautiful cocker Spaniel “Cooper”. My son and RN DIL who also live in El Paso, had plans to gather with us, however they and my two granddaughters came down with COVID-19. They are doing ok.. but the baby is taking a little longer to get through it. My oldest son in MN and his wife and 3 granddaughters too have COVID-19. They seem to be doing well. So I have one son and DIL and two more granddaughters who have not yet joined the COVID-19 bunch. I’ve done a lot of praying and continue to do so as well to give thanks for the over abundance of blessings I enjoy every day! And by the way, I’d be even more blessed with the line green Potoky! Just sayin!
Liked watching Deb work on her Potoky stand! She just flips from front to back w/ease! My husband has dementia and being able to tune into your floss tube enables me to step out of this stress for awhile! Thank you guys!!

I have a turkey story I want to share. When the kids were growing up we would plan what to grow in the garden each spring. What else should we do to save money? We have raised chickens for years. How about turkeys this year? Yeah! Just big chickens, right? Yeah. Next question, how many? Well, we concluded that 12 was a perfect number. One a month. Yeah. So we did. Got them butchered and in the freezer. Yeah!! As with butchering chickens it took a couple of weeks to want to eat one. But out it came. Yum!! By the time it was completely eaten it was only a couple of weeks before it was time to do the second one. Less yum....long story short it seemed like we were eating turkey non stop the closer we got to the end. So it ended up taking us 18 months to eat all 12 turkeys!! LOLOL. We NEVER did THAT again. Live and learn.
Deb would you tell me more about the village you are stitching? I talked to my local l and s about them. She thought there was only a holiday set. Is that true? If so, would it be easy to have them not holiday? I want to leave them up all year. And how much do they cost. Have gone to their website, but no prices. Grr.

I've been wanting and prefer the mini Potoky and the green color is devine. The M4-L stand is my favourite but I already have a different brand of a floor stand. I need something more portable and the mini fits the bill perfectly. Thank you so much for this opportunity
I have an idea for Liz’s gadget corner... Scotch Tape! I use it when I’ve pulled out stitches and have lots of lint. Lol. I am new and make lots of mistakes and changes so I love having tape in my sewing box.
