  • Hey Dressage Superstar, I am going to answer the question - The correct way to hold the double reins.
But before we do checkout, want an awesome FREE training class... www.dressagema...
It connects to the snaffle, it's the big one normally because us riders we're not that smart, are we? No we'd like to have different size reins for the different bits that they attach to. We know by feel we don't even have to look which rein we have. Even if I close my eyes and I picked up my reins, I can tell that this one is my snaffle rein.

Nice to know! I don’t ride in a double, and never will, but nice to know the proper way. Thanks! 😊

I really love your Videos! I have a really spooky horse (she was abused in her past) and your videos have really helped me to ride better and I have really gotten more confidence and I know how to ride better since I started watching your videos! I have always wondered how to ride a double bridle too and this video is SUPER helpful!!!

Sometimes my trainer will put two sets of reins on the school horses' bridles to help expand her students' knowledge and ability to ride with these types of reins... so this is great to know even if I don't regularly ride in a double!

I appreciate your videos and the information you share (your horse is gorgeous!). Thank you! I just have a pet peeve about incorrect spelling that you may want to know about for the future; your title image should say *you're* (short for "you are") holding your reins...

Always wanted to know this. I've shown before and the class required the double for aesthetics but the horse didn't need it ! You see so many horses on show day literally saying mum wtf are you doing!!

Love it! Could you make a video on how to keep your legs from falling back at the canter? That has been a big problem for me.
