The 125 looked sharp traveling through the countryside on her adventure; it is great to see history being created right before your eyes!! Very nice coverage here Barry; I enjoyed watching this. Dave
Thank you for your comments, It was great seeing it for the very first time on a heritage line but looked odd just coasting along just at 25 mph, All the best Barry
Fascinating seeing a 125 tentatively crawling along. But for me it was the Peak - they are my favourite diesels. Lovely shots as always, Barry. many thanks. Regards, Reinhard.
That station at the northern end of the run is Rowsley *South* - not Rowsley North. The station building of Rowsley North still exists (it's a listed building) but it's in the middle of a 'designer outlet village' (or whatever) about a mile further north.
I would point out that the end of the titles says this was filmed on the east lancs railway. It is actually Peak Rail :) Very nice video though. I did not know there had been a HST to rowsley.
get these hsts onto valleys lines asap with the introduction of the new class 800s a least therell be seats available on them where as poxt arriva 2 and 3 carriages nigh on always full.dont scrap em make good of them...but i suppose thats being logical
Hi Steve, Yes I am sorry about that. I have the beginning and the end setup just ready to add the film clips. I edited the beginning and forgot the end clip to delete the location of the last time I made a film. I did not notice till it was too late and I was not going to spend another 4 hours exporting the film and uploading so I left it knowing that someone will comment at some point.. So thank you for viewing and the edits at the end. So sorry for that and a gold star to you and keep up the good work Barry

Thank you Ernest for viewing and commenting. It did seem odd seeing a Intercity 125 just traveling at 25 mph. All the best Barry

Hi Barry, thanks for the gold star, keep on filming :-)
Thats one of the nicer privatisation-era liveries I have seen on a HST.
Not sure if it's just me but the video itself was silent, titles weren't.

Hi, great film of this historic event.
Just one quiery about the end titles and the film location, shouldnt it be Peak Rail not East Lancs?

This isn't the first time, one set visited the ELR in 2013.
Also the Wensleydale too...Soon to be NYMR this July.
And overtaken by a push-bike...
