- World's Strongest Man 1998, all 10 heats from ESPN and the BBC version of the final. I don't have the ESPN version of the final.
Heat 1-6: Russian broadcast of ESPN version synced with audio from original US broadcast. (Some shorter bits in Russian since my recording of the US broadcast is incomplete).
Heat: 7-10: Original US broadcast.
Final: BBC broadcast.

Thanks for watching. Most of the 2005 and 2006 heats are already on youtube. I only have the ESPN version of the heats that's missing from youtube but it's unfortunately hard to upload the ESPN version of WSM from those years without getting copyright strikes.

There are some real legends in some of these heats, I mean guys like Ginaud Dupuis, Gustavo Pujadas and Michael Abdullah. They are all good and strong but certainly not as powerful as Gu Yan Li.

@@Mr-qz7ky Thanks, I didn't know that. I knew there were more injuries than normal but not about bad food. It's still a little strange to me that he got in since every 2nd place finisher had more points than Phil, and even one 3rd place guy (Ralf Ber 10.5) had more points in their heat than Phil, and 2 more 3rd's were tied with him, but not knowing how the selection of replacements was made I guess it's possible he made it because of luck, random draw or something. I find it really hard to think 23 people beat or tied him and they couldn't put together 10 from that group. Oh well, kind of pointless to wonder about something that happened 24 years ago.
@@grahamgill9685It's because he was one of the only ones that was still in Morocco, and hadn't flown home yet when they needed a replacement.
