Nandanar was one of the 63 #Nayanmars or devotees of #Shiva, and this is taken from Nandanar Charitram, a musical opera by Gopalakrishna.

So devotional! But I cannot help but say: English is so phonetically pathetically inadequate! Writing Tamil words in English is such a pain! Take the word Enneramum. I saw the title of the video, and thought, God, how is that pronounced? Then I saw the Tamil text, which I can read fairly well, and thought, ah! so THAT is what the word means! (at all times) It takes diacritic marks to write Indian words in English. Ennāramüm would be close: the letter a with a line above it means it is pronounced like the letter as in ate, ape etc. U with two dots above it, says it is pronounced as in a short (or long) oo. Take the word Venum, (I want) in Tamil: Vay-nüm is the nearest transliteration really. Because the word Venom in English is not vay-num; just a short ve like in Tamil Vetri, meaning victory. Hmmm, did the British borrow that word? :)
