Not really. Thanos actually sticks to his philosophy rigidly. Even at the cost of the one person that he loves. He is cruel, yes. But he sticks to his beliefs. He's evil. He's cruel. He's callous. But he is not a hypocrite .
@@darkscholar625 Hypocrite in the sense that he has denied himself to see the truth. I think this is part of his "crazy" side that we will probably see soon. Thanos thinks that his way is the only one that can achieve his objective and "balance" the universe, as he was never seen thinking other alternatives. In his terror for the societies with few resources and a lot of population, Thanos has killed 50% of all living beings, thus also affecting plants and crops that we consider life equally. Nothing has changed.

I like how the man says "I'll give you a few minutes" right after Peter asked what if they cured someone right now. He trusts spiderman to do the right thing, no matter how painful, he's also in this difficult situation where he is left with either synthesizing a cure for everyone but letting May die, or saving May and dooming dozens if not hundreds of people. He's made peace with his choice, and can tell already that Spiderman will make the right choice. Whether his intuition is correct or not, I love that Peter as SpiderMan has built his character in a way that people trust him.

My favorite version is still to date Toby Maguire Spiderman followed by Spiderman and his amazing friends.
The choice faced by Peter is similar to what Joel faced in the Last of us, except Joel decided to give up the cure for mankind because he couldn't bear to lose another daughter. But Peter's situation is equally painful as he chooses to save mankind. I guess that's what it takes to become a super hero.
That's why hero should never be attached to anyone, Batman knows that.

That's why if we all had powers in real life like in My hero academia(great anime btw)there would be very few ppl that would take that path. Most of us wouldn't be bad enough to become villains nor have the strength to make the sacrifices a hero must.
Eesh. Never played it, but sounds like Last of Us needed someone like Peter Parker.
If I recall correctly, the audio logs around the map in the last level reveal that they've had other people immune that they kill for the research with no success. It isn't certain one way or the other, but she could have just ended up as one more dead with nothing to show for it.
Spider Man has always had one of the biggest hearts. He may make mistakes,but he still tries to make the world a better place.

Batman has a sad background, he took the pain of watching his parents dying in front of him and turned it into willpower. Superman could use his god-like powers to conquer or destroy the Earth but instead he chose to call it his home and protect it from anything, always looking for good in people.
But Spider-Man is more relatable. He is a young guy like anyone else, studying, working, but he got powers, he knows people he cares about is in danger and already lost a few of them, no millions in a bank account, no God-like powers, only great responsability and will to do the right thing the right way. Spider-Man is up there with Batman and Superman as the greatest heroes ever.

I played this game with my mom watching as I played. We both teared up when Aunt May said "And I am so proud of you". Peter trying to save her was a moment we would consider if we were seeing the last of our family dying in front of us. Peter saved thousands but he lost someone he loved. This version of Peter is my favorite because he knows what he needs to save everyone but fights the urge to be selfish

I am reading what everyone is talking about, the hard decisions he faced, but lets take a moment to also appreciate Aunt May's brave face.
She mourns for Peter's pain in that split second when he cries out "I don't know what to do." Look at how she changes her expression and immediately catches her self.
That is powerful, and this game's expression has done a 10/10.

May was the only person who's consistently been with him since the beginning, she's practically a mother to him. It's not fair that he had to be the one to make that kind of decision, but it shows why he's a TRUE hero. Even if he doesn't like it, he understands what NEEDS to be done for the greater good (he can teach those girls in RWBY a thing or two:/).

Anyone notice at 3:32 that Spider-Man’s face is in the shadow as he’s about give aunt May the anti-serum represents the darkness in his heart trying to tempt him and he immediately has to force himself out of it through sheer will power back into the light. Spider-Man is a character faced with these kinds of decisions all the time but in the end he never gave in to his temptations and always willed his way back to the path of light.

So he could either save her and let thousands die or save thousands and let her die

Honestly I think it would me more tragic to see May’s reaction to the news of Peter's dusting on Titan. Just imagine it, she's worried sick Peter's been missing for weeks. She gets a knock at the door and it's a bruised and beating Tony Stark and without saying a word she knows. She breakdown in tears, beating her fist against his chest. "This is all your fault" she screams, before falling to her knees and weeping, a deep soul crushing cry of anguish and dispair . She is now completely alone, not only was he her last living connection to Ben, but she not only loves him like a son. He was her son (no I'm not referencing Trouble).
That's a scene I want to see.
