This song sticks with me very personally. At this current moment in my life, I am going through some mental trauma in my family that is too personal to talk about. But the message of this song is that life will get better, but you need to give it the chance to thrive, just like a flower. It will get better.

Dance Gavin Dance and Makari, these two are the equivalent of perfection.
i wish DGD had less screamo though ngl, when i listen to this type of music i just want to hear their incredible voices that are so unique and just lay on the ground and just listen to the message these songs deliver. The screamo isnt relaxing to me and stresses me out which is the opposite reason i listen to this type of music

@@fsub616 hard disagree for the fact that the screaming is a solid link to breaking down the binds of socially acceptable behavior and letting emotions flow. Jon Mess' raw screaming mixes deliciously well with Tilian Pearson's crooning vocals. It's fair to have different opinions but like, there's a ton of bands that do similar stuff minus screaming. You could even listen to Tilian's own separate work if you love him but don't care for Jon.

This song is like if Explosions in the sky and Dance Gavin Dance collaborated together to make a song. This is well written and thoughtful. It's deep and has soul. The power behind Andy's vocals is insane. This is the catchiest music I have ever heard. Fantastic job. More music like this in 2019 please.
Honestly I just found this genre of music and I really can’t stop listening to it. It just brings an inner peace telling me everything is or going to be okay.
I also thought about Explosions In The Sky as soon as I heard that soothing sound guitar sound. I love DGD too', so I'm glad of having found this song and hope more people gets to find more songs of both bands, as well as Makari's.

Joseale TM clarify* i don't think he wrote the song. It was a song the band wrote or sumerian. STILL Andy did way better. The only reason I can think of for him not winning was the requirements called for no screaming. which he more or less did. but it fit. it super fit and he knew it too. OH WELL now listening to MAKARI on repeat

The first band that made my skin goose bumpy was Dance Gavin Dance. I found them half a year ago and since then I couldn't find any bands that touched my heart. I discovered awesome guys like This Town Needs Guns and similar math rock bands, they were good, but they didn't touch me as much as DGD did. And now I saw Makari's profile in Tim Feerick's instagram (bassist of dgd), and checked you guys out. And oh boy, your voice touched my heart so much I nearly cried, no kidding. I recognized your voice, but I wasn't quite into it before. After 1:16 you're my favorite vocalist. Voice of a fucking angel.
