- As we started the "Best 4x4 Moments" video series back in 2017, looking back with the highlights of the past year of wheeling, we bring you the third instalment of almost 45 minutes of action packed four-wheel driving.
As with 2018 being a year of struggling to produce videos, 2019 was even harder, harder than ever so far. Family had to move house and a lot of focus went into working on our new home to make it comfortable for the family to live in. I still haven't been able to build the studio due to other overwhelming work that was prioritised so that the family is kept happy. This has compromised the time for offroading, wrenching, modding, vlogging, editing, and everything that goes with this hobby. There will be at least another couple of months before I start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Also, still have the workshop to build.
Anyway, as I have pinched some time here and there to edit this video, I hope that you like the end result, and please stay tuned (but be patient with me) for more.

Great video! Some of those vehicles have way too much flex. You can tell it actually hurts them in some areas.

Why is it that so many of you guy's chose the Nissan? Is the trans and diff's O.E.M.? or has the drive line been completely swapped out ? Love your videos and just curious because you never see Nissan's like that in Canada. Thanks,... Oh yeah.. Cheers mate!
Thanks for asking bud 👍 Nissan Patrols have one of the strongest drivelines from factory. We only upgrade diff ratios, crawler gears and chromoly axles at a later stage, as the build and the sizes increase dramatically. Stock on 2" lift, 35s and locked, could go many places without breaking anything.

Oooo ahhhhhh look at all the flex..too bad having that much flex is only good for showing off in ruts and on rti ramps.. believe it or not there is actally such thing as to much and depending on the geometry it can make the truck very unstable on big climbs and bind up when crossed up... guy in the red 80 is really pushing the limits lol but seems to have a lot of experience behind the wheel of a set up like that and it works for him.. makes for cool action shots so right on ..

What suspension mods done to that 80 series? I bought a 6” lift for mine and love it on 37” treps as well but I don’t get that kind of flex.

Yeah, you won't get that flex with the factory radius arms. This 80 has a 3-link setup on the same lift and tyres as yours.
In the first clip what kind of mod is that for your wheels to perform like ? Is that something to do with the axels ?
If you're talking about articulation, the Nissan Patrol has a 5-link setup and the Toyota Land Cruiser 3-link instead of factory radius arms.
Please tell me the suspension setup on the red 80 series, i need that setup on my hdj81. Someone link me to the build

Unfortunately, there are no details on the mods yet, but it's sporting a 3-link on 6" lift and 37s.
I'm guessing the big footers are 40 inch or 37s at least?
Yes, even the Y62 is running 37s.

@@David-qw2iv no they dont however you can import one because they have passed the 25 year rule so you can import a ford maverick or the vehicle its based on the nissan patrol gq, you can import the patrol version in left hand drive as the nissan patrol gr
