Interesting. Good stuff. I’d have thought the JFET would also be good for lower gain settings. Also I wonder how the Riverside would do since it has a much more tailorable EQ.
Just shows how much these pedals can sound alike. I did something similar with my Sunset (that I flipped) and my Greer Lightspeed. I was able to get them really, really close, but on recordings, there was just a little something extra in the Lightspeed recordings that I was missing in the Sunset. Would that "something" matter in a full recorded mix, quite possibly not.
@@johnnathancordy That's exactly right! Sometimes it's these little, sometimes nearly intangible things that steer us in our gear choices! In any case, love all the videos you pump out. Lots of interesting things to learn and ponder based on your content. Keep it up! Cheers!
Timmy is brighter/more present.

Yeh I guess it's worth keeping the things that inspire you the most is generally my feeling

Sounds great man. Could you talk a bit about all the little flourishes you play that make your improvised melodies a little more interesting?
ua-cam.com/video/GTH5ESoahMc/v-deo.html this and ua-cam.com/video/3i-G8ItQBCo/v-deo.html are a good place to start!
Sunset wasn't far away from the Timmy at the start. What about combining the two sides of the Sunset to absolutely nail it?
Good video men, more please!!
Hi, nice comparison ... can I ask you how do you feel with the sunset and what feeling does it give you?
Been following your channel, just curious what single coil pickups, sounds really good. Cheers!
These are Fender CS69s
