    Enjoyed the video as always. The rant about being worried about chemicals in fast foods while breaking every OSHA rule ever made is why i like this channel so much.

    Agreed you should do a ball mill gravity fed separation. it will not take you long to whip one up. Firstly between the boards is a copper layer if you crush it up well enough. you should be able to separate 8 metals. tin being a money maker. Right down to gold and silver that will need further refining to make pure but at least you are getting piles of metals each week. Eventually you give copper up seeing it as a bonus materials from gold, silver and tin recovery then you be looking for old ewaste each week. Awesome idea get on it. Also you should teach the kid how to edit that will be an amazing time saver

    those small white lights do have ballasts in them, btw. they are pretty small, though. the tube is a CFL but it does not have the ballast in it, just the starter (in the base). there is a ballast in series with the bulb in the fixture. we have similar fixtures at work and I've replaced the bulbs in them the last 20 years. in the last video you can just about see it, it's behind that steel bracket.

    good vid.. man you need a shredder to chew that stuff down fast. yes still have to break it down to materials then shred. But would save lots of time and space. Or a big hammer mill with a mag belt to pull ferrous out.

    Nice series you put together here Derek. Really enjoyed watching it after work the past few nights. I'm always trying to think of ways to be more efficient and can't help but wonder if moving your OG truck and replacing it with an empty trailer would streamline things... Unprocessed material comes in the front door, has the pleasure of meeting you at the table or the copper king, then flows right out the back door. Cycle trailers so there's always an empty one waiting for processed material as it flows in the front door. Feel like there would be less organizing and bin to bin movement. Just a thought. Heal up that arm, copper ain't gonna beat itself out.

    Can you do a video on the different types of metal, how to figure out what it is and show examples for us that watch you all the time but don't do scrapping? I have stacks of things in the yard I want to scrap and want to make sure the scrap yard won't screw me. Thanks

    It’s funny that all the channels complain when they tell everybody around them what to look for and how to make money that they no longer get the money making materials. You’ve taught all your competition around you and everybody you bought from previously and the people that work for them what to take from you. This is what UA-cam does to every market around you.

    • @ProjectShopFl
      @ProjectShopFl  6 днів тому

      It's not that other people are taking the materials it's they were changed to led's and the material is just not there.

    Ya man I totally do not eat fast food anymore it’s straight poison makes me feel sick. Tried to tell you to get a brace that will isolate the part of your arm that’s giving you the fits could even be smth in your shoulder causing pain in the arm. I mean I watch3d every season of ER that was me and the x’s show so ask me anything medicine care critical stuff I got you 😉 Man I was splitting wood last night and got my finger stuck in a crack in a block and just crushed tf out of it so I feel your pain all the way out in the hills,I was in a good groove and got to daydreaming about processing my duck stripper it’s second to next on my bench.

    Is there a small scale hydraulic cutter set up u can recommend. I often wish I had one. My budget isn't endless and my scale is 1/3rd yours is on a good day. I don't deal w crazy big stuff but sometimes I wish I could nip a 1/3rd inch steel rod or a 3/8ths inch pice of cast. Not looking for anything over complicated. I look at amazon and drool but don't understand all the spec info stuff. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

      Seems like you should be able to adapt it fairly easy just add quick release fittings and send it. You will probably have to figure a way yo hold the valve on the log splitter open.
